Can someone who has a late model double cab Tacoma with the TRD Sport option and a short bed please tell me if the truck comes with the automatically dimming rear view mirror and built in compass?

Both those features come with the TRD package.

Thank you YKTaco. I am looking for a Tacoma with the TRD Sport package and didn't happen to notice the mirror when I was in the truck. I guess I've been spoiled with these type of reasonably important options with other makes over the years and I'm finding with Toyota you can't assume. Thanks again.

That is true now, and it wasn't in the past. Toyotas were full of cool features that just came standard - but more and more over the years that I have owned them that has changed. I wish they would go back to being the great, high quality vehicle manufacturer that I knew in the past, including the bullet proof reliability that has also slipped in recent years.
