I have a 2005 Tacoma Pre-Runner with Automatic Transmission. I bought it new in 2005...
I only have 24,000 miles on the truck. But I do tow a 2,200 lb. sea doo boat every week-end about 20 miles round trip
My book says to wait untill 100,000 miles for the trans service, but this scares me a little to wait so long with me towing almost every week end in the summer to the boat ramp
So my truck is almost 5 years old with 24,000 miles
Should I have the trans serviced?
Or should I wait till 100,000 miles?
Thanks for any info...

Towing puts it under severe service so you might want to follow severe service intervals, maybe like 30,000mi. Servicing it yourself is another story, the transmission is sealed it has no dipstick, and that's what turned me off from buying a Tacoma.
