AMSOIL now makes a transmission fluid that is combatible to the Toyota WS Transmission Fluid the auto trans in many of Toyota's cars and trucks use. It's called

AMSOIL Synthetic Low Viscosity Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATL)

Good thing as I was needing to do my first flush and fill on my trans and I have had great experience with another product, AMSOIL ATF fluid, in previous vehicles. I had the flush/fill done on my auto trans (2007 Tacoma, 4.0LV6, 5 spd Auto trans) last week. It took 17.75 (18) quarts. I used the new AMSOIL ATL mentioned above. Trans runs perfectly after the flush/fill. as I knew it would. I had to get it done at an independent shop (Goss's Garage) as my local dealer wouldn't do the flush if the Toyota WS wasn't being used (Toyota says they can't use anything else, nothing else is compatible.....) I'm happy to prove them wrong.

That's because Toyota WS (dino or blended) is a lifetime fill whereas Amsoil ATL (synthetic) is ONLY good for 100K/60K. LOL

Amsoil says that after 5 drain & refills you will have approximately 80% fluid exchange. Although I'm not sure if that's transmission dependent as per their research. This is what the technical assistance folks will tell ya though.

They tell you that for a reason. Toyota WS has the properties they designed the unit for.
Here in Michigan, I've heard nothing but horror stories with AMSOIL. Engines grenading, etc.
Do what you want, just don't cry about it later! Besides, how much are they clippin' you for a qt. of that stuff?

About $2.50 less than Mobil1 ATF.
