Trying to find out if I remove the transmission pan on my 2005 Tacoma Pre-Runner,will I be able to replace the transmission filter?

Also anyone have the PDF on removing the pan and filter?

Thanks for any info

This is a great question.

I have a 2009 and am thinking of servicing my own transmission well before the recommended time or mileage intervals.

If you or a relative is in the US Military ... make sure you get ALL important info. (injuries & medical treatments) documented in your SMRs.
(Service Medical Records).

ALWAYS keep a COMPLETE copy of those SMRs in a secure place that you can access.
This is super important later when a "claims issue" or etc. arises.

Well, I think that should have a drain plug w/metal gasket. I've pulled that plug, drained ATF, and replaced gasket, torqued to spec. Filled with WS, put in about three quarts, drove and checked again. Adjust level when HOT in neutral. I would not remove the pan. Filter or not.
