Default Various problems with '05 Tacomas

I am looking for information from any 2005 Tacoma Access Cab or Double Cab 4x4 owners that are experiencing the reported front end noises when driving over bumps as well as the vibration that occurrs around 50MPH. My 4x4 Double Cab will be in next week, and my concern is growing as more and more of these problems are arising. Please leave any comments here as to your findings with these problems and what if anything has been done to correct them.

My X-Runner pulls to the right and the seat belt adjuster guides rattle with the bass of the factory system. No suspension noises.

Default 05 info...

I test drove 4 new 05 models so far and have not noticed any noises or vibrations what so ever.I'm sure the vibration at 50 could be taken care of with a simple tire balance.

I'm probably going to buy a new Tacoma in a year or two, but want them to work out the minor bugs. So far they seem pretty damn flawless if you ask me.

As I detailed in another thread, my DC has not been flawless. Tires/suspension out of balance and a water leak in the cab from a body weld burn-through. No suspension noise yet. Noisy engine ticking and noisy ABS resetting - otherwise I'm pretty happy.

i doubt it, maybe a v8 and bad driver. the v6 is no where close to as fast, infact, my old v6 prerunner would wipe them out.

I dont know.... I raced a newer v-6 mustang and it was a really close race but i still beat him. Both of us had auto trannys.
With over 50 more h/p i think the 05 v-8 mustang would smoke a 05 4.0 taco for sure. Even if the mustang did have a bad driver.

musta been a v-6 IMO

05 V8 Stang = 5.1 0 - 60 automatic... Motortrend...

Given it was stick and a bad driver, the X-Runner still don't have a chance...

I drove the older GTs the 04's, but those things have the most ugly trannies ever... I missed so many shifts in it it's not even funny... So yeah, a bad driver in one of those can be brutle...

Still, given both drove flawless, the truck would of ate dust...

I have yet to see a 14 sec time posted by anyone yet, so IMO the truck is still slow and "HARD" to drive at optimum level... (too much wheel spin)

Yeah back to the subject post whores!

Just came back from Mammoth and the mileage check is: 3887 miles. The only problem I did have was the pulling to the right like what cam2xrunner has. Took it back the dealer and had them fix it. Other than that, no strange noises, no leaking, no cracked bed, no problems. . . so far.

What did the dealer say was the cause of the pulling to the right side? And what model Tacoma do you have?

Just a wheel alignment. They checked the toe, camber, tire pressure and wheel balance. My 05 is a dbl cab 4x4 w/TRD off road package.
