TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "'05 Tacoma bed--strange sighting", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
While at a dealer, I glanced into the bed of a new Tacoma that had a rubber bed mat. For some reason I lifted the mat and noticed that the rubber nipple-like bumps on the underside of the mat had left impressions in the bedliner!
Weirdest thing-- had the bed not cured before the mat was put in? No, I hadn't smoked anything funny that morning...

What? How do you know it was the mat that made the impressions? The mat is formed to fit the beds grooves. Is that what you may have saw? The beds are made and cured long before they get put in the truck so thats not it.

Hmm, did you feel the bed to make sure you didnt see some weird illusion? Ive had the mat on since the day i purchased it and the only marks I see are little dust ones made by those rubber nipples, no indentations of any kind.
