TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "Anyone Got Pics of Access Cab with Toyota Tube Bars Installed?", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Toyota's are Dee Zee brand. Mine are Aries. The shape is slightly different, but this will give you a rough idea.
I went with the Aries bars because the dealer here could only get the powdercoated Dee Zee ones. I wanted chrome to match the nose and the chrome rear bumper. The Aries are polished stainless steel. Not chrome, they are shiny enough to pass for chrome.

My toyota dealer said Toyota thought the speedway blue would be the number one seller . . . they did a market study and thought that the new color would create a huge demand. Good old Silver is the number one truck . . .
Also who can tell me the top three states for Tacoma (05) sales . . . .
I would guess California, Texas, and Virginia...random guesses.
I think the Speedway Blue is not the top seller because in some areas, you cannot get it without buying certain options. Here in Cali, I couldn't get Speedway Blue without buying a TRD package. It cost me me thousands extra to get this color, but that's how bad I wanted it. The TRD stuff was just a bonus.

I just recently bought a pair of Aries Nerf Bars, I'm assuming the same as yours: polished stainless steel. Paid about $300 for them.
And to contribute to your original post, here is an Access Cab with nerf bars, but these looks like Westin's.

I ended up getting the DeeZee step tubes through the Toyota dealer. They are silver powder coated, and look pretty decent IMO ... they match the paint on the wheels. Do a great job of keeping road rash off the rocker panels and rear fender flare too.

Same here - I would definetly recommend the DeeZee tubes - they really look great with my silver truck, and they cut down on how much road debris hits the sides of my truck!
