The Dcab Long bed auto run a 15.7. I think they should try and find a new driver
LOL how did they lose a whole second off the 1/4 compaired to sporttruck.com

Indeed... Car and driver pulled a 0-60 in 7.4 with 4x4 Dcab 6spd and 7.1 with a 4x4 Dcab LB auto. These both weigh approx 500 lbs more than the X-runner, and it was barely faster. While yes there are many variables in any test, Gotta be the driver.
it has to be and he must be someone who never drove a stick....I have timed my XR a few times and my buddy timed it do..I have been pretty consistant of a low 6sec 0-60

Because Autoweek is the only publication that isnt bribed and influenced by the automakers themselves therefore getting REAL numbers and not ones that are reduced by a second for each $1000 the magazine recieves.

Lets face it the truck is not a rocket. While impressive for this truck, mid to high 15's in the 1/4 mile isn't fast. Sure the X-runner handles great but don't kid yourselves, its not fast.
Usualy with practice real world times will better magazine times. But I'll take radar guns and computerized timers over a stop watch and someone watching the speedo. And G-Techs, the ricer's dyno.

most people on custom tacos are getting 15.1 stock
and thats with bad traction...I am sure you get a good run and it would be 14.9 bone stock.
ohh and these are track times
Have you ever drivin one
its not fast but it is no where a high 15sec truck stock

That sounds about right. People have been doing better, but it takes some time to get familiar with the clutch/tranny setup.
Sonny
Very true. I took mine to Milan Dragway last week. After a couple wheel-hopping runs around 16 seconds (the announcer called it the "jello jiggler") I managed a 15.39 @ 90mph. Still need more practice launching though. Hard to nail the best combination of clutch slippage and wheel spin.
