Default So my A/C pooped out on me...

I've noticed my A/C making weird noice from outside the truck a couple of times, but I just ignored it. Plus the last two weeks have been wonderful for weather and I didn't need to use it. Yesterday the humidty came back and it was raining with the window fogging up. I turn the A/C on and the light just blinks, nothing happens. When I eventually stopped and rolled down my windows, I could hear whatever part of the a/c it was making noise. Its sounds awful. So right now at 12k miles my a/c broke. Time for an appointement.

I called and made an appointment. The dealer said they've had one other 05 in for an a/c problem and it was the compressor. Which makes since due the noice mine made. But I think this is coincidence as opposed to major production problem.

If I don't run my A/C for only two days it makes a loud noise like described above (sneezing). Is this what people are noticing before it poops out?

Thats what mine was doing, but not it sounds like it has the flu and bronchitis...It never used to make a noise, so I just let it go. Might be a sign yours is on the way out too.

It was loud with the window down. Weird noise to explain. I'll know more by Friday. My truck goes in on Thursday.
