Here are some pics of my truck finally. Bought it in Hawaii in November. Mods: Vent visors for all four windows, hood protector, tube steps from toyota dealer, soft extang cover (tonge and groove not snap), tinted windows, and 16x8 american racing burst rims. Dual vortex exhaust and k&n filter are getting put on thursday. Hopefully help with the gas mileage with the gas prices.
I also recently got a dent in my rear bumper, wondering if anybody knows where to get the stock bumper (besides the dealer) and how much. I'll post more pics if anybody wants. Just let me know what you want a pic of. I'm gettin it detailed in and out today so I'll take some more pics if ya'll want. Thanks for reading.
There are some pics in my profile under pics if you wanna see feel free to look.
With any luck you might start finding 05s at the junk yard for a bumper...

Straping the handlebar to the siderail may not compress the forks down enough to keep the bike's front wheel from moving.
It won't be a problem if there is a D-ring in the center drain hole holding the front wheel.
the bike is fine, you just need enough compression to keep tension on the straps when you hit bumps.
And ive only heard of one report of the cleat failing, and as long as he dosent crank all the way down on the forks with the tie downs (which is a bad thing anyways) the cleats should hold.
The cleats are not supporting the total weight of the bike, not even 1/2 the weight. They are supporting the pressure exerted upwards by the forks and then some by the other tie down. The bed itself is supporting most of the weight.
The only thing I see wrong is none of those bikes are in the back of MY truck
nice truck
Hehe! I agree!

I drove 100 miles one way unloaded it and rode. Than rode 100 miles the other way and the bike did not move at all. The cleats lifted up a little bit, but the bike was sturdy and did not move at all. I have a strap for the handlebars so the hooks are on the straps which hang about 6 to 8" lower than the handlebars which takes pressure off the cleats. The bed held up very nice. And the truck pulled them all like a champ. We got alot of looks that day. I got the truck detailed today and they did a bang up job!!! I'll post pics tomorrow of the work. Hope you all enjoy, nothin fancy but it works for me. The rims made it look the best so far. Enjoyin everyones post thanks. And thanks for not hatin just sharin pics like everyone else. I'll post more pics thursday when i get the dual exhaust put on as well.
Get some D rings for the front of that puppy ASAP, or your gonna break the cleats off, trashing your bike and your bed. Plus, it will be held more securely anyways.
