Duhhhh, Wal Mart! Use a Toyota filter or a premium filter. I don't know why Toyota insists on bad mouthing synthetics with weird and strange excuses not to use it and none of which make any sense. Everything they claim you should not use synthetics for is exactly what Mobil 1 excells at, especially the gelling and sludging problems Toyota has had--Mobil 1 does not gell or sludge. The manual claims you should use a 5W-30. Mobil 1 is offered in a 5W-40 Truck and SUV formula and a 5W-30 Extended formula and their standard all synthetic 5W-30. Use the standard 5W-30, it meets the Toyota required specs. The others would be fine too but for warranty purposes make sure to use an oil that meets their specs and it does and also keep your reciepts and keep good records.

Before you go buying at Walmart, be sure to run by your local costco first.

That's the cheapest place I've ever seen it for the 10w30 and the 5w30. It was about $3.20 a quart but it's gone up to $3.50 now or so. I've put amsoil 5w40 and Redline 5w30 the last two changes so it's been a while but I'm sure that it's still less than $4.00 a quart.

WalMart does have low prices while everyone else in town is still in buisiness if you can catch my drift. Buy it elswhere and try to keep some hometown business. Your freinds and family will thank you in the long run because they won't all have to get a job there with no medical or benefits. I guess they could all just come stay @ your house and eat your food when when they get injured or sick since they don't make enough to take care of themselves or drive a new Toyota to put there sythetic motor oils in.

Sorry for the rant. That corporation just gets me really pissed!!!

By the way I love my Taco!
