TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "Finally did some wheelin", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
What fun ! I went on a short trip today to hunt / wheel . This can be addictive . I only took pictures in one place , and still felt like a total goof getting out and taking pics in the middle of it . Another rattle to find and some chips im sure but as long as my truck had fun its OK . I think its time for some deavers

Was that in the Cleveland Ntl. Forest? That's where it looks like you are at.
BTW: The truck looks good out there! And yea.. some Deavers will help..
LOL, that's a coincidence, I went wheelin' today too for the first time in my truck. Exactly the same as your's Mercula. Check my pics for some dirty pictures!

Im in San Diego too. Like what you have done with your truck. I just bought the same truck in black sand!
What exactly are those wheels, where did you buy them and for how much?
I wont buy wheels unless the center caps will fit on them, do yours?
Can you also tell me where exactly you were wheeling...Im thinking of hitting up coyote canyon on wednesday of this week...but I would like to check out some other trails... Looks kinds like Blair Valley.
Last but not least, did you put a lift on (details please). Sorry but your truck looks great and I might try out a few of your ideas.
I`m concerned about the growing number of members who are taking their trucks off road if this behavior continues I`ll have no choice but to applaud loudly
Get any quail??I thinned the mountain quail population some this weekend........
The wheels are Weld cheyenne 6's EVO-(chrome) 16x8 , Got them for about 400 a piece througha friend a discount tire .My truck isnt 4x4 I assume that is what you mean about the center caps ?
Lift is Prototype bilstein CO's (snapring type) Got some friends at bilstein and I was a beta truck , They are set at about 2 1/2 in of lift . The rear is stock springs with bilstein 5100s for shocks . The area is called Mccain valley , Not much of a wheelin place(for trucks)But they do have a offroad area called Lark canyon. I dont really know many other places because dont have time to get out much .
No Jungle , no quail Got out there kinda late , lots of people still , Every one of my "special little spots" had footprints through them It was raining on me half the time as well . It still felt good to walk around with my guns a little. Your dogs look thrilled in that pic
Lots of birdies here on Pendleton, well, there used to be more coveys here until...BANG!
