Well I was searching and reading, but the board keeps telling me to post.

So here it goes.
I do not own a Tacoma yet, but im selling my house. When the house sells im buying a 06 double cab 4x4 TRD.
School me on lift kits, I want to run 33's. What do you think is the best? I hear good things about Donahoe Racing. I dont want to break the bank, but I want really good stuff. So price is not a huge deal. Also someday a soild axle will be going under it, but thats 5-10 years down the road.
Warranty issues with lifting the truck? The salesman I talked to told me Toyota has only approved one companys kits. Is this true? Or is he full of hot air.
Rims, I would like to run 17's or 18's. Thoughts? Problems? Recomendations(sp?)
Anyone running the TRD headers? How do you like them? Price?
Super charge me or no? Can I get good power gains with just intake and exhaust(sp?) upgrades. I have heard good and bad things about the TRD SC's. mostly not so good stuff.
I have neve bought a brand new car before. The trucks im looking at are priced at $28000-30000. What would you opening offer be if you had $15000-20000 to put down and finance the rest. I was thinking 24000-25000.
Im sure there is more, i'll post them when they pop into my head
Do a search first then come back with if you have questions. This topic has been covered many times, in depth. Oh and there is no supercharger for the 4.0 engine, yet maybe in a year or two.

Hey thanks for the info, no supercharger huh. That makes things easier.
As for searching, as I stated in my 1st post, I am. I am not having good luck with it. And some of the threads I am getting back are 3-5-7 months old. New info, people, products come out everyday.
And I think I decided on a lift. Donahoe Racing with Total Chaos(sp?) upper arms. Anythoughts on this people?
I mostly just want some straight info on the warranty stuff..............Thanks.

Add some deaver leaf springs in the rear and a set of bilstein's to go with that, then you'll be set .

You need to check you local state laws, but.. most states have a law (or it might be federal) that says if the part you installed did not directly cause the problem then the dealer is required to cover the repair.

Hey Partypooper: Didn't you read? He's having to post cause 'the man's on him to be 'active'. So he posts and waits....and the first reply is a go back and do you homework then come and site with the big boys (or girls in OffRdGirls case)? Tch tch. have a heart Tbrown! Play along..wont hurt!
Lol, its all good. I always expect a bit noob bashing. I am doing my homework but figured I would ask some questions to speed things up. I realize the things I am asking are everyday know how to some here. But there is no newbie section here. And I have no problems hanging with the big boys and girls.
So about the deaver springs, I have heard very good things about them on some other sites I visit. If I were to order them do I order 3.5 lift springs to match the front, or is less lift needed in the back to keep things even?

To even out with the Don's up front you'll need the standard 10 leaf pack. And that gives you about 1" lift for the rear. This will level the truck out. Check out Wheelers off road dot com
im going to be running the terra grapplers on my 05... i've heard good and bad, btu mostly good, im also going to rub the black steel wheels from wheelersoffroad.com. you can go wrong with donahoes and TC arms, but if your goign to be purchasing the 2 at the same time make sure the dhoes are extended. the largest tire ive seen on trucks equipped with dhoes and upper arms are 285/75r16, and they get minimal rub after some trimming (at least thats what i understand).
for exhaust there are a few members here running the magnaflow system and they seem to really like it. i dont suggest buying the whole catback system though, just buy a muffler and have it welded on.
now as far as warrenty, i dont think you will be hassled too bad if worst comes to worst just throw on your truck wheels and crank down the coilovers, lol. what part of norcal are u from?

I agree that Donohoes are great, but a better questions is what do you plan on doing with your truck? Are you going to be off roading a lot? Relatively hard core? Donohoes are the way to go if so. If you will be doing mild or little off roading I would go with the Camburg/SAW coilovers. I would ask the same question before suggesting the Total Chaos control arms as well. And Deavers are great for the rear even though I will probably stick with the AAL for a while at least.
As for the Nitto Terra Grapplers, I love mine. Tread wear has been even, traction has been great (only been in rain so far, no off road or snow yet) and the road noise is very minimal. Can't beat the prices on them either. I would definitely buy this tire again.

Yes and no.. The deavers are capable of giving you more travel, but your travel is limited by the shock length. If you can get a longer shock that won't bottom out then you'd be set. But the only realistic way of doing that is to cut out the shock buckets and weld in new hoops that extend higher. The main advantage you get from the deavers are smoother operation off road. They are much more compliant and they allow the rear axle articulate much easier.
thanks for the quick answer man... im guessign if i got new hoops made toyota would hassle me?
