You can see a boost gauge in the video, although I'm wondering if it had a STS turbo kit. I had a S/C 2001 Taco and it sounded different under full throttle, more of a distinctive high pitched whine. I sure wish I had the money just to burn up an expensive set of tires. This kid's either loaded or is gonna have bad credit when he goes bankrupt.

I DEFENATELY... have to agree!

Also sl3000gt94,

Since you know of this guy... do you happen to know what type of wheel he has on this truck? It "looks" like a set of THESE. Am I right?

Thanks for the help...
Dave

I think his story was that he lent the truck to someone, and they did this without him knowing. Then when they returned the truck, they told him the rubber was fresh asphault (however you spell that)

A family member of mine did somthing like that before in a trans am. Funny thing is the dumb a$$ did it in a parking lot with a security camera watching him. He got a visit from a cop the next week and a bill for $1400 to fix the lot.

Needless to say he was young and drunk at the time.

I cannot tell if he needed new tires, but I have a friend that does the same thing when it is time to buy new tires. He has a nissan 300zx, I got a chance to ride shotgun last summer. It was fun, never thought about recording on video.

wow, that was fun. that fella did a really good job of handleing his truck too. i was impressed.

dont knock the guy for pissing away tires/$$$. just think, he did it so we dont have to.

"theres a right time and place for everything" sure they were a little dangerous, but they picked a good place to do it. unless of course them building in the backround have nuclear devices in them. or if the camera man got run over.

my buddy works at just tires and every once in a while theyll have someone come in and want new tires when their tires arent even that bad and they'll tell just tires to keep their old ones... well my buddy throws them on his truck and peals out everywhere... this might be the case.

Like you were saying.... It's always easy for the driver melting "your" tires. And not "his" tires. Know what I mean. I'll do this with anyone elses truck anytime.
