Muth Signal Mirrors for Tacoma

Back in May of this year I put in a request at Muth to develop Signal Mirrors for the '05 and up Tacomas. At the time, I was advised that they would consider the request and if they felt there would be demand for these mirrors, they would develop them. Today I received an email from the company, the text below is cut and pasted from it. If you were considering these mirrors, as I was, they finally are making them. The plus to this is that you can now get heated mirrors, something that Toyota dropped the ball on.

I would love a set too. Although I could care less about the signal mirror, heated mirrors would make my truck very happy.

Same here. Heated mirrors would be great! I took it for granted and never missed until the snow hit. My last few cars had it and it's a huge difference. I think I'll be saving pennies for this mod. Unless a good group buy price happens.

Unknown on whether this company would offer a discount, but these being brand new designs, I would have to lean towards the no side. I posted the email so that everyone would have access to it if you all were waiting for this as I was. I say order up now and be the first to post this mod. I have to wait, kids and Christmas come first.

Yeah I also think Toyota dropped it on a few things on the Tacoma redesign.

Dual sun visors, heated mirrors,fold down rear seat instead of up and I cant remember what else.

Once the wife loosens the purse strings a little I want to update my Toyota.

Had heated mirrors on my other vehicles. Up here in the North, they are almost a MUST!!

You folks down in the warm air probably think we are nuts, , but it is really a wonderful feature to have heated mirrors.

Question, I was cheking out the site. Do we have to add, all the parts listed below? That would send up the price a good chunk.

It would be nice if you could just add the heated part without the signals... I believe the site says you need one to have the other though.

Thats right. When you look into the heater option (H-mod, (heater wiring and switch)), it does tell you in there that it requires the signal mirrors (heated). It looks like around $350 before shipping for heated mirrors.

There are other options, brake mod and electronic module mod. Neat, but really runs price up more.

Maybe some other vendor will rise up to it and make one with just heat/defrost +/_ maybe auto dimming.
Now that would be nice. Had it in my Audi and loved it. I have already switched to the Gentec for the rearview.

OK, anyone do this yet? I'm really close to pulling the trigger, just curious if anyone has done it. If I do it, I'm going all out and doing the heated option. Kind of pisses me off that they charge an extra $50 bucks for the heating elements in the mirror, and an extra $50 to actually get the wiring, switch and relay.

**EDIT** I guess it's an extra $69 for the wiring kit
