The only thing you can turn off/on with the VIP RS3200 Alarm is set it up so that the doors locks 0,15 or 30 seconds after the key is taken out of the ignition and all the doors are shut..

That is the passive arming feature. You can also set ignition controlled automatic door lock/unlock.

Default found it for you

programming option allows you to set the doors to lock when when the key is turned on, and unlock when the key is turned off.
  • Open the driver's door. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • (Complete these steps within 30 seconds)
    1. Insert the key into the ignition switch.
    2. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    3. Turn the key from LOCK to ON 5 times, ending at ON
      (LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON)
  • Programming option (select one of the following).
    1. [Ignition controlled lock ON] Close the driver's door.
    2. [Ignition controlled lock OFF] Close the driver's door twice, leaving it closed.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT)
  • Turn the key to LOCK. The programming is complete. If programming did not occur, start over.

Has anyone actually done this with the 3200 "PLUS"? Those instructions to lock and unlock with ignition from the data base is for the 3200 (No plus). It looks like the only option is for the passive feature with the 3200 PLUS.

Mr Smitty did it work on your truck? Thanks.

I might have the wrong info... maybe someone who is subscribed could chime in...

The booklet that came with my RS3200 Plus system when I bought my truck did not mention anything in it but the programming of the Passive and Active controls.. but NhParrot claims there is a feature. I will find the information for you guys...

Default this is what I found from another website.

Program your factory keyless entry functions
For 2001+ Tacomas equipped with a factory alarm or keyless entry, here are some programming options that allow you to adjust the way your locks work.
The first programming option allows you to set the entry unlock to: (A) unlock the driver door with one push, and the remaining doors with a second push OR (B) unlock all of the doors with a single push.
  • Open the driver's door. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • (Complete these steps within 40 seconds)
    1. Insert the key into and remove it from the ignition switch 2 times.
      (IN - OUT - IN - OUT)
    2. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    3. Insert the key into and remove it from the ignition switch 1 time.
      (IN - OUT)
    4. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    5. Insert the key into the ignition switch and leave it in.
    6. Close the driver's door.
    7. Turn the key from LOCK to ON 4 times, ending at LOCK
      (LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK)
    8. Wait for the locks to stop, then remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • On the key fob, press and release both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time.
    1. [For all doors unlock] press and release the UNLOCK button.
    2. [For driver door unlock] press and release the LOCK button.
  • Open the driver's door. The programming is complete. If programming did not occur, start over.
The second programming option allows you to set the doors to lock when when the key is turned on, and unlock when the key is turned off.
When performing the programming, the park lights may or may not flash to confirm that the program was accepted. The only way to confirm the programming is to test them to see if they are functioning as desired.
These procedures may or may not apply to pre-2001 models.

Step H.
First I want to say thank you, it worked great. Like what was said in one of the comments I also found out that, "step 2H, the locks don't start doing their thing until after you take the key out. So basically, take the key out, then wait for the locks to stop, then continue on with step 3. FYI"

How about for a 2005 Double Cab?
Does this work for the 2005 Model as well or how about the LOCk all doors when you begin to drive anyone has the program sequence for that?

I Got it.....for the 2004 x-cab
Played with the step “G” and found (lock to on) one time for the first remote, pull out key and wait. Then both buttons at the same time, then unlock (A) open door. For the second remote in step (G) do lock to on twice and it worked. Unable to get both doors open with one push of remote, but at least I have a remote again. Play with step G.

'04 Doublecab
Just finished this on my new '04 Doublecab. Worked great! The only difference I had was in the first programming option I had to remove the key for the locks to start. When the locks stopped (4 times) I left the key out and went on to step 3 and it was fine. Thanks again.

Thank you for posting these intstructions... I've had my new 2004 Tacoma PreRunner TRD for 2 weeks, and was annoyed from the beginning with this feature. I used the instructions, and it worked perfectly. Now both doors unlock with the "unlock" button, as it should. Thanks

minor correction
I'm not sure whether this varies for model years, but I tried this on my '04 S-Runner and I realized that for step 2H, the locks don't start doing their thing until after you take the key out. So basically, take the key out, then wait for the locks to stop, then continue on with step 3. FYI

Thanks for the tech tip! Both options worked for my 2004. Where'd you find this out, anyway? Great tip.

excellent work! just one thing...
When you attempt the first programming option (unlock all/driver doors)... after step "2H"... WAIT for the doors to go thru their lock/unlock/beep sequence (the doors should lock and unlock 4 times or so) ONCE THEY STOP, continue to step 3. This drove me nuts as the "second programming option" was a piece of cake =)

Just awesome. thanks!!
Can't believe how easy this is to fix a common problem: Having to press your key fob twice just to get the pass side open. Fixed!!!!

I've tried this (and many other) procedures on my '05 w/ the "alarm upgrade" option, but no luck. I actually dinged toyota on the post-sale survey on this, and my local dealership service dept called me to follow up on it. After several weeks of research and exchanging emails, I was finally told that the 05 Tacoma simply does not have this capability, either with and without the upgraded alarm, and that an aftermarket alarm was the only way to accomplish this.

Still hoping someone proves them wrong...

yeah the more and more I read the Information I posted, It seems the information is for 2001-04 Prerunner and Tacoma.... I guess the 05-06 Tac's with the RS3200 Plus are screwed....
