I guess I'll start this off...
Ivan Stewart TRD wheels, 16x8, 4.5" backspacing.
No caliper rubbing, and no upper A arm or frame/body mount rubbing with 285's and 3" lift.
These wheels have been discontinued and no longer being made. The last few sets I have seen around on ebay are going for $200 more than I paid for them.
I wish there was a thread when I was looking for wheels so I wouldn't have had to do this... Ground 1/4" from the calipers and lopped off more of my cab mount than I feel comfortable with. 16X8 mickey's with 4" backspacing, 285 75R16 BFG MT's and Donahoe coilovers cranked up to 3". You can see how close the caliper is to the wheel in the pic. Hope I don't pick up a rock...
American Racing Mojaies, 16x8, 4.5" BS, with 265/75/16 BFG MTRs. No Caliper grinding or body mount grinding, Cleared both the factory UCAs and the Total Chaos UCAs, but there was a little trimming of the over fenders. To see pics click on the link in my sig.
I have 285/70/17 BFG MT's with a 3" lift and had to trim some of the plastic fender liner.

I just had some new TRD Ivan Stewart wheels installed on Michelin 265/75/16's. There was slight rubbing on the back fendor so I shaved it. After noticing wheel vibration at 60mph, had the tires re-balanced. They double stacked the weights right next to the brake caliper causing a slight scratcing of the weights to the caliper (fronts). Can I grind a little off the brake caliper to give me a 1/16" space to clear these weights?

Has anyone used any of the black steel rims with 285's yet??? Are they hub centric or lug centric?

yeah I cranked my donahoes up to the max 2.5" of lift, trimmed even MORE off than when those pics were taken and I still rub in the woops. 99% of tacoma drivers wouldn't rub with my set-up, but I drive it like it's a sandrail. I am ditching the factory bumper and building my own, but I can't get the bends right with my cheesy hydralic pipe bender, so it is getting some more sawzall action next weekend. It'll buff out.
I was interested in the MT classic locks in 16", I went to their website, and it said they don't fit. I called them and the rep said it is because of caliper clearance.

I saw that toydriver and thats why I'm going to go with Mojave beadlocks from American Racing instead. Several people have run the Mojaves and had no caliper issues with the 4.5 inch backspacing from them. American Racing doesn't list them to fit either but a few guys on TTORA are running them on a 05 Tacoma with no problems.
I think the only reason slamdtacos classic locks fit is he's running a 17 inch wheel.

Seems strange so many 16" wheels are having fitment issues. Must be a big brake caliper. After looking closer at my Ivan Stewart's, there are some tight gaps between the caliper & the wheel.
The new Dick Cepek DC-1 wheels look to have a lot of caliper clearance...
Anyone running these yet?
