Default Bed mounts

OK, here's the deal with my loose bed and all my other problems. Just got the truck back from a 2 week trip to the dealer. Loose front bed mount, you could lift the bed up and down. FIX-orderded new bed insert from toyota $1700.00 and when that got the bed thay found out it had the same problem as mine which is the metal insert inside the mount boke loose so the bed was sliding up and down on it. The metal sleeve was about 1/8 inch longer than the plastic mount so thay removed the bed and shaved all bed mount flush. Thay told me thay are going to have a lot of problems with them it will be just a matter of time!! But mine was the first. Problem: squeek up front, TSB for bumper extensions, replaced with new ones. Problem clunking under cab. TSB new cab mounts. Problem: loose pas. side mirror. Fix- tightend nuts. Problem: leaking rear shocks. Fix- replaced both.

Thanks for the info, I think I will go ahead and fix this myself. do you have any pics of how they modified the bed mounts. I cannot believe the bed insert cost 1700$. It sounds like a simple fix. I guess i will not know untill the bed comes off.
Cheers

I don't have any pictures. Thay just told me thay shaved the mounts to make them flush with the sleeves. I would just take it to them if it is under warranty like mine. It sounds like thay made the sleeve shorter
