Default wiring harness

I am purchasing a new 06 Tacoma and ordered a Toyota tow hitch from dealer. Upon first inspection the dealer installed an after market (non-toyota part) and I complainted, to which after some argument they agreed to put on a authorized toyota hitch. A week later they called and stated new hitch installed and truck already for delivery. I then re-inspected truck and tow hitch appears indenticial to factory installed units. However, wiring harness appears to be a 4-point harness (similar to the after market unit orginaly installed) and not the standard 7- point unit that comes from factory. Dealer states that this is the wiring harness that comes with dealer installed units. Not sure I believe them considering they already had the after market harness installed. Anyone experience similar situation or comments/views...

Second question : What is the difference between the 7-point wire harness vs. the 4-point harness and does it make any diffence when plugging in a trailer?

Thanks.

I have the factory installed package. AND if you do not have the round, black 7 pin connector, you do NOT have the factory wiring. Toyota went away from the flat 4 wires a couple of years ago for the round ones. It is big, black with flip door on it. Don't let him yank your chain. Go onto any other dealership lot with a digital camera and take a pic of the back of any tacoma or tundra with the factory towing package. Show that to him and say either that, or my money back.
