Second question : What is the difference between the 7-point wire harness vs. the 4-point harness and does it make any diffence when plugging in a trailer?

I have the factory installed package. AND if you do not have the round, black 7 pin connector, you do NOT have the factory wiring. Toyota went away from the flat 4 wires a couple of years ago for the round ones. It is big, black with flip door on it. Don't let him yank your chain. Go onto any other dealership lot with a digital camera and take a pic of the back of any tacoma or tundra with the factory towing package. Show that to him and say either that, or my money back.
