Default A/C not kicked in.

Every once a while my A/C comressor does not kick in.

It can be in any mode. I even manually hit the A/C button.

Usually it started working after I turn everything off several times.

But once it kicks in, it's very cold.

Could it be too much or little freon?

It did it again except A/C still no engaging after turning fan off several times.

It all happened when the battery cable came loose for several hours after I gave a friend a jump.

After I reconnect the cable, I drove for 45 minutes and trying to get A/C to work but no avail.

I had the fan at 1 and A/C on all along but no cool air.

It finally came on when I exit the freeway. When I completely took my foot off the gas pedal and hit the brake (yes, I didn't touch the brake pedal for 45 minutes).

My educated guess: Either the controller has an interminent problem or Delphi HVAC has a bug. It was assuming WOT (no A/C) until gas pedal was off for more than 5 seconds.

Any other guesses?

Very strange indeed. I had my truck in the garage for almost 2 weeks, somewhere last year. And when I took it out again my a/c didnt come on after driving aprox 15 miles! Really thought it was broken.

I wonder if it might have something to do with the power the battery is delivering? IOW not enough? no idea. I havent had the problem since, I also havent had it parked longer then a week.
