I got mine late in the year so they didn't have one with the off road pakage I wanted. I think they all got shipped to MS or LA after the hurricane. This does not have locking differentials of any sort. I like the detroit TrueTrac but they only have it for the rear. What is out there for the front and rear that doesn't void my warranty? It is dry around here for now, but I will need limited slip differentials soon. Thanks for the help.
Look at ARB. An investment well worth every penny IMO.

Everytime I sign up to a board I forget to post in these threads first.

So anyway, hello all. My name is John I live in a tiny town in Northern Cal. Soon I will be moving to a not so tiny town in Northern Cal. I have had Toyota trucks for the last 8 years. I do not have a Tacoma yet, thats why im here for info. I plan on buying a 06 double cab 4x4 TRD in the next few weeks.

Most of my other toys have been1980's, and more for "hardcore" offroad. But the Tacoma is going to stay pretty tame for the first half if its life, maybe in a few years i'll break out the sawzaw and welder. But for now all I have planned is a lift, rims and tire, and go-fast parts.

This looks like a cool fourm you have here!........John

Welcome to the zoo John. Sounds like you know your way around a forum and the truck.

Hello everyone! Great to be here. Very nice site. Friendly people that I've seen, and informative. I am known as ClutchMan, also moonlighting as a computer tech in Southern California. If anyone has questions about clutches for the Taco, ask away. I did post a reply in one of the threads and hope it helped.

Howdy-do!

I just picked up my 2006 Tacoma DC from the dealer yesterday! I opted for the Prerunner as we probably won't use the 4x4 option as much as we first thought. Picked the Impulse Red Pearl (nice!) with the graphite interior.

Traded in my Volvo that I picked up from the factory in Sweden, so that was a little sad. But I've been looking forward to a truck for a couple of years now. I looked at the Nissans but they seemed to be a little cheesy for my tastes. Toyota looks to be doing everything right.

Glad to be here. Everybody appears nice and likes to share what they've experienced with thier Tacomas.

-Chris
