Hello, this is the first time I post here on the forum. I bought a 2006 4x4 Taco, access cab TRD off road last September. It already has 22000 miles. The color is bright red. I was moving and I drove the truck from VA to OR last April. I got up to 23 mpg while driving accross the Nevada deserts and the truck has been perfect!

Hello everyone,
I own a 2001 tacoma xtracab 4x4. I drove my first car, a used 1989 Ford escort for 10years, so when I bought my tacoma new in 2001 I pledged to drive it for at least 20 years. Six years later I still feel like I'm breaking the truck in. Hopefully this great forum will inspire me to surpass my goal.

Hi all,
I'm Ken. I don't have a Tacoma just yet, but I am actively looking. I have my eyes set on a double cab 4x2 PreRunner with a TRD pkg. Looking to get one within the next 2 weeks.

Hello, I am Mark. I bought my Tacoma in Houston in January just before moving to San Antonio. I have an 007' Tacoma PreRunner AccessCab SR5(#2) 2.7L I4 with the 5 speed manual transmission. It has everything I could get on it.
I love this forum! It is a great source of information.

Aloha,
I have an '06 4-dr Tacoma. Glad this forum exists.
I just made the bonehead "maintenance" move of draining the ATF. I was gonna change the oil, took off the wrong plug, noticed it was ATF, but figured, Ah, I'll just let this drain and put in new. I remembered reading that only about 2 qts are in there. But BUMMERZ!!! I started getting the bad news when the guy at the shop said he didn't recognize the atf oil that showed up as recommended for this truck. Went back and actually read the manual (Why do I only do that AFTER the screwup?!) and realized it's dealer-only stuff. CRAPPOLAZ!!!
So I'll go in tomorrow (yes, with my wife's car; not my truck) and pick up the fluid and possibly the new gasket and o-ring if needed. If the electrical side (sst/shorting leads...) seems too difficult, I'll take it to the dealer after putting in the fluid.
I was a little relieved to see on my search of this site that I'm not the only muttonhead to do this. Thanks much for the info. Hopefully, this will all be a bad memory come tomorrow afternoon.

Hello,
I’m new here and I've had my Tacoma S-runner since I bought it new in 2001. I love it. I just installed new front rotors, pads and repacked the bearings. It was my first rotor job ever and I pulled it off. I was getting shakes when braking and it turned out that it was my rotors causing all the shakes and rattles. Well I should have figured that was the cause because I ran metal to metal with the pads one time in 02. The rotors were all scratched and scored, but for the last 5 years I would just replace pads more often to compensate. This was because I was always afraid to do the job or pay for it $$$. A tight budget will make you motivated and creative real quick.
After the finishing touch of balancing my tires, my Taco's alignment is spot on and it brakes smooth as a whistle now. No more shakes.
Chris

where has this been all my life?
Oh, guys,
This Subscription thing you push, Why not a 7 day trial to see if it's anything a guy / girl might be interested in using?
I might be interested, but not knowing if it's of any use, How do I know?

Hello everyone,
I just purchased a 2003 Toyota Tundra limited access cab. I love it already. It has a Borla dual exhaust, a borla air filter, and boy does it look and sound great. It's black on black with black leather interior. The guy who had it before me took super care of it. Not a scratch on it anywhere. I had a ford before this truck and it was a good truck but I really enjoy driving the Tundra.
This web site is great. I look forward to reading all the post etc... It sure has been a awesome site to get info.
