TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tacoma Owners Introduce Yourself Here!", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Make sure you add a photo of your Tacoma to your name so it shows when you post. (That's my silver bullet next to mine!)
I put 900 miles in 2 weeks on her so she's parked in the garage and I'm driving my old 92 Subaru for a week....dont' want to max out my warranty miles too fast!
Did you get the extended warranty? My Father-in-law has owned Toys since the 70's and highly recommended it. Not because Toys are junk but because parts cost a lot more than American cars and you always want to use OEM. (He had a 79 Toyota, Corolla, that had over 300,000 miles on it....the entire body rusted out before the engine went!)
My extended warranty is for 72 months/100,000 miles. (I keep all my vehicles as long as possible so it's worth it for me.) I just sold my 89 Z-24 to a college kid....keeping a Chevy running 16 years is NOT easy, let me tell you!
I did not get the extended warranty. I know the parts are a bit expensive but with A Toy you can not go wrong. I'll post my pics as soon as I have the running boards installed. Mine is Black Sand Pearl and it is just incredible. I am looking into the bed cover, but one that slide or fold back without the buttons.

congrats on the buy, i just drove down from seattle to san fran in it, and it was just a pleasure, best high beams i've ever encountered by the way.
i saw two truck loads of new 05s heading out to dealers on my way down so hopefully they are on their way to happy and anxkously waiting owners. i got lucky and bought my black on off the lot. i noticed lots of silver and red on those delivery trucks.
and also incidentally starting off with a full tank, i only had to fill up once in medford, or and another time in sacramento only. just the same if not better than my 00 dakota v6. btw, wtf is going on with ca's gas prices??? your regular is more expensive than our premium grade!!

Last thursday i took it to the track and get impressed by the launch...(2.1sec on 60ft & 15.17 ET.) .5 sec faster than mi Tundra best,on the same track...
Fast ha.... And still factory specs...almost
Nice run, have some take some pictures next time you go to the track or just gerneral pictures of your truck. Hello everyone! I'm just traded my 2000 Dakota for a silver 05 Tacoma DC TRD 4x4 yesterday - man is it SWEEEEET! Straight off the showroom floor. I couldn't believe the power of the v6 when I took if for the test drive - blew my old Dak away!
Can anyone tell me what the DeeZee step tubes cost from the dealer? Can you order them any place else - another other tube brand suggestions?
Thanks,
Tim
