Default Corpus Christi area members

I have been noticing that we are getting a few members from the Corpus area here. At least 4 or more. Thats great. You guys should think about getting a local meet together. You would have the chance to meet each other and check out what everyone else has done to their trucks. It is alot of fun. All it takes is one meet and you will agree, I guarantee it.

There 4 of us SA guys that have gotten together a couple of times now and will probably try and start doing a bi-monthly meet.

Tundraholic.... Finally caught up to ya!! Just wanted to thank you again for letting me check out your Borla's during the Houston meet recently. Some of the other guys let me listen to theirs also and I thank them as well. I decided on the Borla's and ordered them on 2/10 from Summit. Unfortunately, they're on backorder and won't be shipped till 3/10

But once they get here....I'll be

Corpus Guys
If you guys can get something started there, we could end up having a meet in your beautiful city. Love your downtown pier area and Malaquite Beach is my favorite. As Joe says, it's good to meet up with local owners and compare rides. Yummy....gotta love the fresh shrimp off the boats for bringing back home to SA.

EZ ,You might want to call Borla I got mine directly from them, but then again 3/10 isn't too far away.

It will take about 1 hr to install them. I removed the rear tire and pulled out the old system with out cutting. So now I could re-install it if I had too. You'll need to remove the spare during installation also.

Tundraholic,

You can probably clear one thing up for me that's got me concerned. I noticed that other owners mentioned having to take their trucks to a muffler shop to do a minor "pipe extension" on the Borla installation. One guy mentioned that Borla paid for the minor mod that was necessary during installation.
It sounds to me that you simply installed yours with no hassles, just like a TRD install. Can you confirm that for me?

Thanks.
John

Mine went on like a glove, and didn't need a thing to finish. the hardest part for me was getting the clamp off where the front section meets the back section. The nut on the clamp is welded to the clamp and no cheeter bar will break it loose. Seems the trick is to turn the bolt from the other side of the clamp, and mine was on top and hard to get at.

Daniel way to go, the more members the better. Just that much more information that we all have access too.

As Sally mentioned sure hope some of you Corpus area people will come over to SA for the "Lone Star Bash" in May. And as I said earlier when you all set up a meet down there make sure to let us know, myself and some others will be sure to come.

Actually, I'm in San Antonio so often for business and pleasure I consider it the "outskirts" of Corpus Christi.

I'm hoping one of my "big trials" mid-June goes smoothly on the planning side so I can consider meeting ya'll and maybe taking in the Spurs game WHEN they make the playoffs.(Okay, so they're my wife's season tickets and I just tag along to hold her beer--what difference does it make?)

As for anyone planning a trip down here, just PM me and we'll make a mini-bash or a downtown splash or ...

Daniel if you will let us know when you will be in town here (any weekend), us SA guys will set up a lunch meet with you somewhere. At least you would be able to meet us local SA guys. I am gonna make a trip or two down to Corpus this summer and we will try and get together with some of you Corpus guys.
