any one thinking of a san antonio meet. and also. any one know where i could take my tundra to tear up some turf? and see if the shocks and skidplates are working?
i always wanted to go to devils den but i never had the guts to go in my 4x2 SUV....now that i got 4x4 pick up....i want to go...but now i dont want a ticket....anywhere else? i drove around some dirt paths but never really offroad.
Back in the old days, I used to drive my 1988 Toyota 4x4 up the hill off of Judson / Nacogdoches. Back then there was a castle like building up on the hill and now it's a park so the climb can't be made anymore. It was a hell of a climb I can say that.
I also used to take my 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 up some winding trails off Kyle Seay road. I'll add a pic later.

That is a heck of a hill. My son is into 4 wheeling and they have been going somewhere out by the Dominion, also they have been doing some water stuff off 1604.

Also, back in the day off roading used to be pretty damn good near the UTSA area. I used to go with friends in areas where Valero is now and also some housing divisions directly across from UTSA. Also, off Kyle Seay Road. I believe all those areas are developed now.

Here are a few pics:
Thanks for the info (and the pics) Josepha.. Just goes to show how damm rocky SA is! I used to go out off of Kyle Seale Parkway also, and it was ROUGH! ROCKY! I had no idea that the area that you took the pics as was developed now, but I would not be surprised. Seems like everywhere is developed in SA these days.
I have never been off-roading near UTSA, but I HAVE seen some dirt roads leading off-road near the bridges around there. I need to check that out. I will only go down roads that seem to be fairly open though, as I have scratched the paint on prior trucks going down roads with "little branches" sticking into the road too many times before. You REALLY gotta beware of those "little branches" they will leave BIG *** scratches all the way down the side of your truck!
I need to check out the area near the Dominion... SATundra- can you please post up some more detail about how that is/ and how to get there? I would even be willing to meet some of you guys also, if you know of a good place to go..

Nope... never heard of them, and never been. Do you actually drive your truck in the mud? If so, I am OUT, as mud will KILL your truck! I learned that with my old Mazda B2600 that I had when I was in high school...

Haha, funny you mention these trails as they are right behind my house! We used to go on those trails weekly on dirt bikes, four wheelers, go karts, trucks, you name it. The trails are really nasty now after being washed out by the rain, and traffic. The trails are good for rock crawling/hill climbing type stuff. Below is a pic of my 72' C10 that I accidentally backed up over a boulder. You can see the trail conditions behind my friend, as he is posing behind the boulder I ran over. Unfourtanetaly the city got wind of people like me tearing it up on these trails and now most of the entrances are blocked off (there are still ways to get around, don't think a small fence is going to stop me)! Some good places for mudding are Culebra Creek at 1604 & Culebra and FM 471 & Kallison Lane. Below is a pic of a Wrangler we got stuck in the mud off of FM 471 & Kallison Lane.
