Default Texas site is a dead place

This Texas site is really dead. Are all the regions this way or just us? Anybody know how to jumpstart this baby?

Thumbs up Re: Texas site is a dead place

It wasn't always this way. In fact the Texas Forum used to be the busiest on the site, along with California. It has not been as busy for a little while now. There used to be 6-7 of us that used to keep this place rockin'. Meets all the time, tons of BS'in and LOTS of good folks.

Someone out there needs to step up and get this place fired up again, others will follow.

It looks like this site does not get much traffic. What types of things were discussed when it was busy? Maybe if we come up with some good ideas on things to get people to come back, we can put a blurb on the main site to get some of the folks back.

I remember Houston's blog always a big hitter, but with all doing the summer thing its hard to keep posting when the sun's out. Look for more postings once people get back into their routines.

Nothing much going on up here in DFW, but the fact remains my truck will no longer be the single man's truck...I am getting married soon so...I guess I should tidy up the inside..

A meet is always a good way to get things started. The first one I went to back in 2001, only 3 of us got together. The next one we had 5, then 7, 10 and so on. Here is a link to pics of some of the Texas Tundra Meets we have had over the years: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photo...o/1799/cat/569
http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photo...ry.php/cat/571
http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photo...ry.php/cat/576
If you want to see more pics of prior TX meets go to this link and scroll down and look for any meet listed in Texas: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photopost/
I still have the TEXAS TUNDRA BANNER we had made up shown in some of the pics.

Another way is to just keep an interesting thread going, gets people to post, questions get asked, answered, more questions..........

Right now I don't recognize many of the names I see like I do on the main site. If we get some good posts going and get to know each other a little bit, the meets will be more fun. Most people post on the main forum because that is the best place to get your questions answered. Maybe we should post our questions in both places.

I suppose SA and I could reminise about the past when the Texas site was more common with posts among those who knew eachother.

This may be a good time to get some Texans together.
All young and older.

I haven't been in years and its gauranteed to bring others in from other cities.

I will start a new thread.
