Question Best Time Frame For The LSB?

Goin' My Way To The LSB!?
2003 LSB Mascot

The 2003 Lone Star Bash will be held in San Antonio, Texas if there is enough interest generated by those wanting to attend and participate in this event. This includes our Sequoia, Tacoma, 4Runner and Highlander Riders as well!

It will be held at the same location as last year's LSB at the Mission County Park. Unfortunately, we were not able to reserve the park for the month of May, therefore that month has been excluded on the Poll.

Thinking on these lines, the City of San Antonio has many attractions that can be enjoyed by young and old at heart. Plus, we can also look at the site of the new Toyota Plant that those "Built in Texas" Tundras will be assembled at.

Depending on the number of votes wanting to have the '03 LSB by the results of this Poll, I will then try to negotiate a contract deal at the Drury Inn Hotel for lower rates for that preferred month.

For those that would like to attend the 2003 Lone Star Bash, please cast your vote so that we can get a correct tally by the majority votes for the month that is preferred. Once this information is compiled we can then start a discussion about the agenda of the LSB.

This Poll has been set to run for 21 days. Prior to voting, please check your calendar and talk with your family members, significant others, friends, etc. on what month would be the best time to participate and attend the 2003 Lone Star Bash.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Do you guys welcome Sequoia drivers?

My schedule is crazy but one of these days I would love to come to one of these meets....as long as you can stand being around someone that leaves and breathes his truck.

Brian

I have already voted. Surely there is more than 19 or so people interested in attending the LSB?

Exclamation PLEASE VOTE!

C'mon Gang!

We need some more votes on this Poll if you'd like to have the ' 03 LSB!

As there is a lot of work and money that goes into making this type of event come together for a successful meet such as the LSB.

The main thing, a higher level of attendance that we need and are looking for that would like to participate in getting this event to atleast the discussion stage of planning an ' 03 LSB.

Please vote if you'd like to have an ' 03 LSB!

Thanks,
Dan

Exclamation VOTE!

At the time of this posting, we presently have 20 legitimate votes for the ' 03 LSB.

Do we have at-least 5 other Texans out there that would consider having an ' 03 LSB?

This Poll will be closing TOMORROW, so cast your votes if you are interested in attending and participating in an ' 03 LSB!

Thanks,
Dan

Lightbulb A LOCAL SA MEET

Well Gang our voting for the ' 03 LSB did not go as expected. Thinking on these lines, as we have so many meets in Houston and the SA Gang is extremely active with the local meets held here in Houston.

What if we let the SA Gang call a "local club meet". Those that can attend it, post and just show up. This could also get the Austin Area Gang involved as well. We can easily meet at one of the many restaurants that are in San Antonio/ Austin region.

By doing this, there would be no pressure in booking and paying the high rental cost for a park location. We could still have drawings from those that would like to "personally" donate prizes at the meet. Plus, maybe some fun and games for trophies as well.

For those that would like to spend maybe a night or weekend, if you check on the internet there are many hotels that offer low affordable rates.

By the Poll, the legitimate votes pulled toward June or October. However, now that we are not having to worry about a May deadline for a park facility, that month too could be an option.

So if SA would like to call a "local club meet", I am sure that there would be a good turnout. My suggestion would be, for the SA Gang to talk among yourselves then start a thread with a date, time, location, etc. Basically, just as we plan our Houston Meets with some advance notice (preferably a month) of the time and place to hold your meet so people could clear that specified Saturday on their calendars.

We could even join up to have dinner afterwards just as we do here when y'all attend the Houston meets 'cuz we like to BS so such.

Sound like an idea to y'all?

Dan
