Default Lookin' to be the fastest in Houston...

Hey everybody!

Great forum. I have learned a ton of information from this board. I plan on buying a RCSB 5.7 within the next month or two. I have already decided to get it supercharged with TRD 22"s (powdercoated satin black) and possibly the complete TRD suspension (if no one has anything bad to say about it). This would all be financed with the truck.

I was just wondering if it's better to break the engine (i.e. 2K miles or so) in first before installing the supercharger since this engine wasn't originally built for it (unlike the Gen2 Lightnings).

I've also already commited to the Corsa exhaust. Man, that is a sweet setup.

Really what I'm looking for is any advice ya'll have when I go to buy it. I've already gotten a face value quote on an '08 RCSB 5.7 for ~$27K. I'm hoping negotiations would take the price down to at least invoice. I got a buddy over at Mike Calvert that might throw me a bone too. Toyota was offering 0% for 60 months or $5K back but that ended today so I'll have to see what the new incentives are for August/Sept. I'm sure they'll be just as good.

Looking forward to any replies.

Cool, thanks. That's what I heard. My buddy Eddie said he was the guy to talk to. I can't wait to get outta my tired old truck now and into a new Tundra.
