Talking OUTCOME: Fun At Frank's Pizza Meet!

Checking in. Got home about 12:30PM tonight. That only made for an 18 hour day.

Sure was fun today, it is allways nice to see all you "Texas Tundra" gang. Im looking forward to the next meet allready. I should have that new brushguard installed by then.

Special thanks go out to "JnEsPappa" and wife for making the trip to Houston from the great state of Louisiana. Hope you all can come to another meet soon, there is an open invitation to ya.

Another SPECIAL THANKS goes out to David "Tundragon" for sponsoring another Franks Pizza Meet (3rd one so far). David your place and the food are ALLWAYS great. THANK YOU from the TEXAS TUNDRAS.

There are some congratulations to go out to the WINNERS and participants in the first ever "Texas Pole Tag" contest but we will save that for another post. More info will follow.

Looks like the Austin "Salt Lick BBQ Meet" is the next meet scheduled, on May 17th. So anyone that is planning on attending please make a post in that thread.

Talking Oh Honey We Are Home!

Well Gang, we are home......LMAO! Kat really did get heat stoke. We got home and she hit the couch and was semi-asleep cheering the ladies on to beat the men in Texas Pole Tag.

She does not remember how she got to bed. Wakes up this morning and says, "WTF happened?"

I am still recovering as well. I think many of our other Texas Tundra Gang and our Louisiana Riders are as well. Hell, it was only a 14 hour meet.

Oh, this meet was tooooo funny! I will let the BS flow. But, the winners were as followed:

Men's Texas Pole Tag Winner: David (Tundragon) 1/2"

Women's Texas Pole Tag Winner: Kim (Mrs TundraCHILD) 7/16"

The 2003 Grand Championship Texas Pole Tag Winner was...

~ Kim (Mrs TundraCHILD) ~

With a measurement of 1/4" from that pole in that BIG 4X4 White Bad A$$ Tundra WITH a big push bar on it! Here is the kicker, she has NEVER driven her husband's Tundra before!

Stay tuned....

Pictures of facial expressions coming soon and lots of explaining I am sure.

Yep Guys, the Ladies did kicka$$, they did much better than the men.

Let me get Kat back alive and some more coffee down me and I'll high-light more of the GREAT fun we had at the Frank's Pizza Meet.

Dan

A big THANKS to David (tundragon ) for another great day at Franks Pizza. Dan and Kat, It was a good time!

I really enjoyed the day and the events of the day. That Texas Pole Tag was a lot of fun!!!

I know how Kim (ms. tundrachild ) won that event so easily I just wonder if Cleve (tundrachild ) really knows. I bet Kim drivers all over Houston at speed making lane changes, hard stops and fast starts and only giving 1/4" spaces between all of her manuvers. And in the morning she probelly does it while putting on makeup or fixing her hair and looking into the rear view mirror.

Cleve you better get more insurance!

Cant wait for the photos.

Smile Thanks Yaw!

Ok got my breath back. Let me first thank my good friend David (Tundragon) for holding another Texas Tundras Club Meet at his establishment, Frank's Pizza. Excellent food, drinks and an extremely comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that you offer to all that enter. Another person we would like to acknowledge is the hospitality that Ferida (David's lady) gave all of us. You're one terrific lady! (We like your new Highlander! )

To those that donated door prizes:
Joe (SATundra)
Floyd (iforce=horses) & Kim
Don (Buzzard)
Cleve (TundraCHILD) & Kim
"My" Kat
(If I omitted your name, please PM me so I may acknowledge your donation)

To our "special" guest driving from Louisiana, Mark (JnEsPappa) and Carey, thank you so much for joining us and letting us watch you install that GIANT speaker box in Hover's truck. Gang, Hover's truck can now save vehicles in front of him on gas due to the power that this speaker puts out! Mark and Carey were also awarded a "Honorary" Texan Plaque. We hope y'all enjoyed your visit to The Lone Star State and that the Texas Tundras will have future plans in making a road trip to your neck of the woods.

The Texas Pole Tag Contest...

Up first was Paul (CARBO) setting the bar high at 2-3/4", then the pole went touched and measurements moved up. David (Tundragon) then took the winning position at a measurement of 1/2". Taking the winning trophy of "Men's Competition Texas Pole Tag" and the first Texas Flag off the pole.

Up first was Christine (HOTundra) setting the bar at 4-1/4", then the pole went touched and measurements went up. Kim (Mrs TundraCHILD) then took the winning position at a measurement of 7/16". Taking the winning trophy of "Women's Competition Texas Pole Tag" and the second Texas Flag off the pole.

The battle between the Winners of the Men's and Women's Competition Texas Pole Tag for the 2003 Grand Championship:
David (Tundragon) 1-1/8"
Kim (Mrs TundraCHILD) 1/4"

Kim (Mrs TundraCHILD) , taking the trophy of "2003 Grand Championship Texas Pole Tag" and the third and final Texas Flag off the pole.

Congratulations to our winners!
To those that touched or didn't get that close, better luck next time.

We got some really funny facial expressions on those that played this game and BS'n was flyin' in the air so bad that some had to roll their windows up and have music on. I think all of us are looking forward to these pictures to be uploaded soon for some more laughs.

Gang, y'all just floor Kat and myself! It's people just like you that make these meets so much fun. Even after a 12 hour meet, we have a hard time ending our BS session. It seems so often that we can never get enough time to spend with each and everyone of you personally. Thanks for all those that attended, until the next meet......

Sincerely,
Dan & Kat

FUN FUN FUN!

Thank you David for having another meet at Frank's Pizza. I'll have to check out your new place, F2's.

The Texas Pole Tag was too much fun! I had to laugh so hard watching the guys bent over their steering wheels then...BUMP!

Congratulations Kim!

I didn't know Mike was going to have his speaker installed or I would have hung around longer. Oh well, it looks like we have to start planning another meet.

It sure was great seeing all of you again, I had a GREAT time!

Thumbs up The Texas Pole Tag Contest

The Texas Pole Tag Contest is a patted pole mounted on a stand, the object is to get as close to the pole as possible in your ride without touching or knocking it over.

When the driver is competing, on the sidelines BSing is permitted to distract the judgment of the driver. The person that gets the closest to the pole by measurement is the winner of a Texas Pole Tag Trophy.

At my house we always had company over and would play it using my mailbox, it got ran over a few times.

Hey Guys!

Carey and I wanted to say thanks for the hospitality and great fun. Thanks David for the pizza and access to your parking lot, and another thanks to Possum and Kat for the treat at Pappadeaux's

Sunday morning we did some power shopping at the wholesale places on Harwin Drive and headed home to pick up Johnathan and Emily. We all hit the sack pretty hard at around 9:00 Sun. night and Carey was still in a coma this morning when I left for work

This was my first Tundra meet and it was amazing to see all of the different varieties and options you can get on the trucks.

We had a great time! We'll be back and maybe JnE will come with us next time.

Sorry we ended up missing the meet. My wife, who is expecting was feeling sick on Saturday so I ended up staying around the house and being Mr. Mom to our seven year old.

Had my ride all shined up and ready to show as well. Even installed my new ventshades and some other stuff to show off.

Very disappointed. But I will get over it when I have that new baby I guess.

Hi Brian M!

So sorry the Mrs wasn't feeling well. But we all have our priorities and family is first. We always have meets, they just keep getting better. We will be looking forward to seeing the whole family.

Keep us posted about the "BIG" event to come.

Best Wishes!
