Lost power. Cell phone call for emergency only. Only water and gas.

Had to seek shelter at relative's house. Can't sleep without A/C.

At least there's no building damage. Some downed trees and fence. I' very blessed compare with others.

Now I'm really thinking about a generator.

Got power and water back Friday night... 7 days without.... not fun.

LOTS of downed trees here in Chambers County... severe structural damage... I lucked out with only 5 trees on the house... haha...

My camphouse is GONE... only pilings left. Looks like a warzone out here. Gas is still in short supply cuz of lack of electricity.

Anahuac looks HORRIBLE. It should be interesting to see what the final body count is in the Galveston/Chambers county areas. Im hearing from some local ranchers that there are quite a few bodies spread around the area that the news is not reporting.

But we are blessed to have a roof.... the Tundra and Tacoma are safe and sound. PS... The backseat of the crewmax sleeps very nicely. Especially with the AC turned on.

Thank god the cool front blew in on Sunday or it would have been hell.

2 more trees to go and I should be all done. Total of 11 BIG trees down on my property. My chainsaw hates me.

Got my power back on Monday afternoon then lost it Tuesday afternoon, came back on Wednesday just after 7pm. just threw the last of my logs on the burn pile, lost most of the big branches on two trees and those will probably die in a year and I cut up most of the one tree that was uprooted, I left about 10 ft of that one because it is wedged between two others and I think it is holding the root ball of another 50 ft tree from falling over into the power lines. I had to borrow a friends chainsaw and returned it today, gave him a big bottle of chain oil, a bottle of 2 cycle oil (for 6 gallons) and a new chain, we will probably pull the leaning tree down this weekend with my 95 4X4 and some tow straps.
