Good Salvage Yards in Houston?

Just like the title says, I am having a hell of a time finding the chrome caps off the limited mirrors. Anyone have any suggestions? I posted a trade in the classifieds with no luck so now Im looking local.

Yeah I would like to know aswell. Try looking on craigslist. I see a few junk yards on Bellaire but im not sure if there good or not.

I know its not Houston but I expanded my area on Craigslist and checked Dallas and they have alot of Tundra parts there.

You might try some of the junk yards off of shepard near I-45 north. That is where most of the junkyards are and they are all tied together with a radio system to track a part down. You might get the part from one yard that traded for it from a different one. And the best price might not even be from the yard that has the part.

If you're talking about the ones on the west side that are between Eldridge and Hwy 6, they dont have a whole lot of late model stuff.

Well, I think I have tried them all and actually found a place with a totaled Limited. He had 1 good mirror and wanted $200 for it! F*%! that. I'm just gonna go with the THP(?) or whatever they are that are on ebay. I saw a couple pics some other members had of them and they look really close to the real deal for $55. And I can buy 4 sets of em for what these cats want for ONE mirror. Anyway, just venting. Dueces!

Will the Sequoia mirrors work/fit? Not sure if they have chrome caps...

I honestly dont know if the Sequoia mirrors are the same or not. My wifes Aunt has one so I will look tonight. As to whether or not they have the chrome caps would still be another unknown. I thought they were all color coded.

Y not buy on ebay they have chrome mirror caps cheap!

I tried like hell to find some OEM caps that snap on and arent stuck on with 3M tape but had no luck. I have given up and am leaning toward ordering the TFP brand caps off ebay. I saw some pics on other guys trucks here on the forum and I cant tell the difference. I will probabley order next week hopefully.

You can try ATLAS in pasadena. Decent service but a great price. Got my overhead console (temp/compass) and Auto Dimming Mirror, and the wiring for 93$. Can't beat it!
Haven't talked to them in a few months so I don't know if they'll have your year but it's worth a shot. There's a few good ones in that area.
