I know that this is a predominately TX forum, but I noticed that there are tons of Tundras in the Shreveport, LA area. I want to know if I can get enough Tundra owners interested in a meet somewhere around Shreveport. Its a great chance to get acquainted with your fellow Tundra owners and see what mods they have done that might inspire you. So basically this thread is to see how many people would be interested in a Shreveport meet. Let me know.
Never been there man. Lets see thats about a six hour drive from Shreveport? I don't know about me being able to set up a meet down there but if you are willing to be persistant, try to organize a meet down there. I try to make it to the Houston Tundra meets but that is only because my parents live close to Houston. So I go visit them on the same weekend as a meet. The furthest I would probably be willing to drive just for a meet would be about 2 hours. For me, New Orleans would have to be a full weekend trip. If you are wanting to organize a meet for south Louisiana, more power to you man.
BTW has Red River Raceway opened back up yet? I know the new owners were supposed to open it sometimes this summer but haven't heard anything new. It'd be awesome to do some 1/4 runs at the meet.

I don't know. I have never been there. Pasted by it a couple of times.
hey Eric, once you guys have a time and date picked out... give me a holler... my gf and I have been thinking about driving out to LA for sometime now... this might perfect.

I don't think they have opened back up yet. I checked their website the other day and found nothing about a 2009 schedule or about when they might be opening back up.
The track just re-opened last Saturday. It is now called Thunder Road Thunder Road Raceway Park is a 1/4 mile dragstrip in Gilliam, Louisiana
They did a great job of remodeling the place. There was a huge turnout Saturday. I only got to make one pass and never got a slip because of a timing malfunction. Once they get all the bugs worked out it's gonna be a great place to run.
My truck is a stock RWD DC and ran a 14.7@95 before. Saturday I lost to a built motor turbocharged G5 by a car length, that ran 14.8 earlier in the evening. I brought the truck out since my car isn't road legal at the moment. My friend just bought an brand new Dodge Ram and called me out but it was too crowded and we never got to run.
I am in Lafayette, Straight up 49 for me. 2.5 hours not bad. I used to get up early and run over to Houston for the Avalanche get togethers. No more Avalanche. I moved up in the world.. Keep us posted. I just found this post. Would have been nice to make the Houston one and discuss the air intakes like they said. My dealer told me they do have a trd unit (intake) on the books yet..

We should have a crowd rollin down I-45 to Galveston and plenty of Pic Opportunities for Ben. A day on the Beach is never a bad thing...especially when the beach is going to be full of women and Tundras!! The link in our sigs will get you all the information about the meet.
