Posting this thread for BeezWax (Ben) here to inform you guys of our August 22nd Texas Meet:

Hey everyone!!!

As we all know, Hurricane season is from June 1-Nov 30. I think this Cruise should be at the end of August. Infact, Since it's gonna take some time to get the word out, I think we'll just call the date August 22nd, 2009.

The reason why I just picked the date instead of voting on it is because sometimes it takes too long to pick a date and I want to make sure that to the people who work for a living are able to get that date off.

I figure we can all meet up at Cherry Hill for a photo-op, hit up a bar for a few brews and bugers or something like that. We can work ou thte details on this as time passes.

I think we are really getting somewhere with our local Houston meets and I'm very excited about putting together this meet. I'd love to get members from Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Miss, etc.... Kind of like a REGIONAL meet. I think it would be just AWSOME to get about 30 or so trucks all together at the same time.

I'd love for some members from DFW, Okla, San Antonio, Austin... EVERYONE!!! to come down for this

please post up your ideas.... so far we have kinda narrowed it down to this agenda:

Morning - 10amish
Meet in the Clear Lake Area (I45 @ NASA Prky) at Hooters!!
Caravan to Galveston
- On the way to gtown, I will lead the pack in the back of my truck where Jenn (my gf) will drive where I will grab some rolling shots off EACH truck driving down I45.

Noon-ish
Large Scale Photo Op on East beach and Cherry Hill... there is a $5 entry fee to drive on East beach but that is a small fee to do it, I think.

2ish
Eats/Drinks/Chillax

After lunch maybe we can all go back somewhere and just hangout.

FYI TO ALL MEMBERS ATTENDING THE MEET ON THE 22ND:

OFFICIAL TIME CHANGE TO 11AM @ HOOTERS ON I-45 & NASA RD 1.....SO WE CAN GET THOSE PICS WITH THE HOOTERS GIRLZ!!!

If you are on the Group Email List for our Texas Meets, you will get the UPDATE email as well for the time change. If any of you need better directions or help getting to the Meet, let me or BeezWax know!!

Imma B there! Hope they don't have calder closed off that weekend....like it was supposed to be this weekend.

come meet us at Hooters near Burlington Coat Factory and we'll hop on 45 just after NASA Bypass, straight shot to Gtown from there Bro!!!

Guess I should've clarified sorry. They're planning on closing the FREEWAY at calder to demolish the overpass one weekend this month, this includes the frontage roads. Don't know how to tell when it's supposed to go down though as it was originally supposed to be this last weekend. Sorry for any confusion beez! lol
I take 45 up that way anyhoo, if it's closed I'll do the HW3 thang.

I see... I travel that feeder everyday for work and I havent seen a sign for the closure... I know NASA RD 1 will be close from the 11th to the 14th becuase they are putting up the last section of the overpass.

Will have my new Polished NFabs and chrome tailgate handle cover on display at the meet....if any of you Texans are wondering what they would look like on a Silver Sky Tundra!! I should be getting them in the mail by Wednesday/Thursday and will have them installed before the Meet on Saturday! Come on Texans....help us make this meet HUGE!!
