I was sleeping really sound and I get up and realize that the alarm isn't going off. Well I figured man I woke up early, my alarm starts going off at 5:07.
I usually walk through the gate at work at 6:00 and get to my desk (its a walk) by 6:15, well today I woke up at 5:52.... eeehh gadd....
I just jumped up and ran...out the door ( got dressed running) that was interesting.
Not that anyone cares this week. My boss is in Georgia, and my group doesn't get here until 6:30.
About the walk, its like that here at Lockheed. If you get a close spot its not bad but the factory is a 1mile (1/4) long from end to end. I happen to work on the end. (no really there is a sonic out across the street and I can see it from where I work)
My dad who also works there.... has a close spot and since he is on vacation I am using it. It doesn't do much good b/c thats why I walk a 1/4 and a bit more mile to my desk. But its inside and airconditioned.

I retired at 54. Was not soon enough. Told my workin buddy I would work til I got a package or they pissed me off----- yep ----they pissed me off. My first job was at a grocery store named "Rea's Lucky Seven" .50 cents an hour. Enough money to put gas in My 46 Ford coup. He sure had a good lookin daughter. She chased me around the store room with a meat cleaver one time ---dont remember why ---Buzz
