Yesterday, I was sandwiched between two vehicles on I-10 in Houston. I was on my way back to SA and had only been on I-10 for just a few minutes when traffic came to a dead stop. I thought I was going to hit the guy in front of me but was able to pull it out and stop short, unfortunately the girl behind me wasn't so lucky, nor was the guy behind her. I was rear-ended by a 4Runner and pushed into, of all things, a black Tundra. Needless to say, I have front and rear damage. On the up side, the Tundra held up pretty well, the two Tundras were able to drive away and the 4Runner and Ranger had to be towed. The Tundra I hit hand only a scratch on the plastic part of the bumper, didn't even put a ding in the chrome. Luckily no one was hurt, the girl that hit me was pregnant and taken to the hospital as a precaution, other than that we all walked away without a scratch. What a day!!!!
Glad to hear you're okay. Sorry to hear about the accident. Wow, were you lucky, as folks in Houston really haul *** on the freeways. Sounds like all involved did a decent job of evasive driving, since there was no serious damage done. Great to hear you were able to drive away from it. Hope the pregnant girl did okay and anyone else who might have been shaken up.
Are you back in town?
I realize the event isn't joyous, but you took some great pics.
Wow...weird...3 Toyota's in a wreck. That Ranger looks like it got the worst of it. Looks like a company truck...is it? Thought I saw a sign on the drivers door.
Is that EMS or a FireTruck I see in the reflection off your rear fender?
Did the guy in the first Tundra not want you taking pics of his truck? I only saw a peek of what appears to be a grey colored Tundra parked up ahead of yours.
What a way to leave Houston!!
It is a very good idea to carry at least a disposable camera in each vehicle you own. In case of an accident, photograph everything and everybody. There is so much fraud....
A friend was almost victim of insurance fraud in Vancouver, B.C. A car zipped in front of him and hit the brakes. He slammed his brakes on and just tapped lightly enough that the only vehicle damage was a bend in his license plate frame. Three folks got out of the car holding their necks. Another car drove up, a woman got out, and said, "I'm the witness." (Really!) Sound fishy? He got out his camera and started taking pictures, the "witness" got into her car and rapidly drove away, he got a notepad and began taking names and address as well as pictures, and they all drove away.

There wasn't any damage to his truck, so I didn't many of his.
My hitch took on the most of the force, and after looking under the truck it appears to not be damaged at all. I would hate to think what my truck would have looked like if I didn't have one.
Adam,
Is this going to affect your insurance, come renewal time??....or were they not involved at all?
My insurance has no idea about this at all. I was not at fault and the insurance of the lady that hit me is covering it all and the rental. I ended up with a VW Jetta as a rental.
