Hey guys, just thought I would share some info with the texas tundras.
Toyota is going to extend the warranty on o2 sensor for the 00-02 tundras.
Read a statement fri. that o2 are covered to 7/90,000.
I think they are sending letters out to owners some time this month.
This thread was referenced on the general TS board, and I was wondering which statement you read that said Toyota would replace the sensors. My Check Engine light has been lit up like a Christmas tree because of the O2 sensors, and when I called up my dealer last month he simply said the sensors wouldn't be covered because my 36 month warranty had lapsed. I'd love to call him back and point to the Toyota bulletin you mentioned.

Sorry to bring back a old post, but I was at the local Toyota dealer in Humble just acouple weeks ago and they said 3/36,000 is all the o2 senser is covered. That thing was over a hunderd dollors just for the part. It wasn't hard to change, but this is BS. I tried to get them to warranty it since I do buy alot from them, but no go. Were did you find this info???

Just replaced my front driver's side O2 sensor (P0135). Called Toyota of Richardson to see if it was covered and he said only to 70000 mi. I have 82K mi on my 2001 Tundra. Sure would like to be reimbursed for the $145 I just spent replacing my O2 sensor if it's really covered to 90000 mi. Anyone know of document stating O2 sensors are now covered for 90000mi?
I just had mine 02 sensors replaced yesterday on 01 Tundra with 43000 miles. It took an hour and they replaced both of them as they told me they come in pairs. I told them about the letter and they did not want to see it. They charged me nothing. I think the letter says they are extending the warranty to 7 years and 90000 miles on the front bank sensors. They should of done it for you free and will reimburse according to the letter.

this sicks I paid for two 02 like 3-4 months ago. mine went out right at 90k though. I replace both myself wasn't as bad as the techs said.
Where can I find a Toyota statement regarding the extended warranty on the O2 sensors? Both mine are out and they wanted an arm and a leg to replace them. Looking at where they are, it does not look complicated, but if there is a genuine warranty, I would love to go back to the dealer.
