Medical & Dental Insurance Plans for Individuals in Texas

I'm currently insured under COBRA from my former employer's plans, but the insurance companies will not cover me once I leave California.

Can anyone recommend good and reasonably priced medical and dental insurance companies that do business in Texas?

Reasonably priced is the hard part. I'm not an insurance salesman, but you might try: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, United Healthcare, Humana.

Unicare is one that is offered by many independent agents for individuals.

None of it is cheap, but I know several that have gotten this insurance and have been happy with it.

If you are healthy, then go with the highest deductible or catastrophic coverage.
