Default Tundra's at Ridgmar Mall, Fort Worth

I'm a LINE-X dealer in Fort Worth. Let me know if you have any bedliners questions, no matter what the brand.

If you're in the DFW area, Toyota of Fort Worth and I will have two Tundras at Ridgmar mall (by Sears, bottom floor) starting Friday 5-27-05 for about a month. One Tundra will have black LINE-X and the other will have a LINE-X color match (with Dupont Nason paint for NO fading). Come by and take a lookee!

Are you the one that own the Line-X at West Hurst Blvd in Hurst, TX? If so, you did my Tundra on Saturday (May 21).

I'm not the dealer on Hurst Bld. Shame on you! Just kidding. Tom, the owner at the Hurst location, and I are friends, I'm sure you will be ALMOST as happy with your liner (hehe). I'm located on Camp Bowie Blvd., on the west side of Fort Worth near all the auto dealers like Toyota of Fort Worth and Moritz Chevy.

Colorliner is a new one for me. You should realize that there are HUNDREDS of these little companies. They buy their chemicals from...somewhere, put their name on the barrels and now they're in business. But, to answer your question: The bed's surface is roughed up using a sander, we use a 6 inch air driven orbital sander with 3M 36E grit paper. Then the bed is cleaned using methanol. We heat the bed with a heater to evaporate any moisture and then spray away. That's a quick description for you.

I'm not here to bash other brands. I'll tell give you some actual facts and you can make your own decision. I don't know about Colorliner, but I do know about Rhino.

LINE-X and Rhino differ quite a bit. The biggest difference is that LINE-X contains polyurea and Rhino does not. Polyurea enhances the bedliner’s properties: 1. LINE-X's temperature tolerance is 250 degrees and Rhino's is 175. As the temperature of the bed approaches the temp tolerance, it loses its strength. 2. Polyurea keeps moisture out of the solution thus making a more dense and solid liner. Less moisture also means better adhesion. 3. Polyurea also makes for a tougher liner. The tear strength of LINE-X is 304 pounds per linear inch (pli). Rhino is 145 pli. 4. Polyurea sets up very fast, that's one reason why LINE-X goes on with heat and high pressure. LINE-X dries in about 4 seconds, so you get an even application throughout the bed. Rhino takes a minute or so to even gel, an hour or so to dry. Before it gels, gravity can pull the liner from the top ridges in to the low valleys. Rhino’s Tuff Stuff goes on cold/low pressure and thus has that “cottage cheese” or “rain on the windshield” look. LINE-X’s high heat/high pressure system gives it a very nice finished and more consistently applied texture, it’s sort of like an orange peel. The dealer can vary the texture from smooth to very rough. 5. Polyurea makes the liner more chemical resistant, especially to organic oils and solvents.

LINE-X gives you a written NATIONWIDE lifetime warranty. Rhino's warranty used to be only with the dealer that sprayed it. In order to compete with the LINE-X warranty, they tried to charge the dealers an amount to cover warranty costs. The dealers rejected this. I have heard that they now offer a nationwide warranty. However, they do not mention this on their website, which you think they would. So, you may need to ask them what's their current policy on warranty.

Hope that helps!
