Welcome to Texas Tundra Country! We always enjoy getting to meet another Texan on the site.
We do plan meets, infact we are talking about one in the month of July here in Houston. Also a fish fry at Jones Creek when Buzzard post would be a good time, as his grandson is home for a visit.
As far as the up keep to keep that Tundra rolling on the road, check out the various forums, as there is a gold mine of information that TS Tundra Owners post.
We will be looking forward to your posting here in Texas.
Just wanted to say howdy to my fellow Texans. I just bought my Tundra Saturday and wanted to explore the board. I just posted a similar message in the main Tundra forum. Looks like you guys are pretty active with the meets!

I stumbled across this here forum while looking for some more info on the Tundra. I don't own one yet, right as I was about to buy one this summer I decided to wait until the '03 models arrive (very shortly now....)....so I will probably have one in a month or so.
Nonetheless, this forum has given me a lot of insight, answered a lot of my questions, and in general made me believe I'm making the right decision
All I have left are a few audio questions, which will probably be cleared up once my club membership is processed.
We always enjoy welcoming another Texan onboard. I did the same as you are doing prior to buying my Tundra, checking out the many informative postings. When we have a meet please consider joining in (no Tundra required). There are many Texans that attend these meets that can offer a wealth of information, as well as checking out our rides.
Once again, welcome to Texas Tundra Country! We will be looking forward to your postings.

Welcome aboard X-O. You find the right place for finding info on the Tundra, TS is it.
I see your "Club Member" status is already up. Make sure you go read the info in the "Garage Forum", LOTS of detailed how to's in there with diagrams, pictures and so on.
Check the Dealer Forum as well, I believe Dianne has the posted prices for the new '03s. Look forward to seeing you at a meet sometime.

Fellow texans, I only have a Sequoia not a Tundra but as Texans you may understand my plight. I think my new tags are so good lookin I dont want a wide frame covering up all the nice Texas designs along the edge of it. Can anyone suggest a tag holder/bracket that will firmly hold down the tag while covering the sharp edge so I dont cut myself when I wash the Sequoia, and still not be so wide I dont see most of the tags? Hopefully a nice chrome or white product will be available. Hmmmmmm?
We always enjoy welcoming another Texan onboard. My gosh, please feel more than welcomed to join us, we love Sequoias! When one shows up for our meets we drool over them.
So when we have a meet please consider joining in. There are many Texans that attend these meets that can offer a wealth of information shared.
Hmm...as far as that bracket I can offer a suggestion that I have seen and does not look bad. What you can do is get some electrical wire (about 1/4" OD wire), split the insulation down one side, pull out the wire and wrap the insulation around the plate. It's cheap and clean looking, plus you can get the wire in any color that you like.
Play around with it and you'll get it to fit nice and tight.
Once again, welcome to Texas Tundra Country! We will be looking forward to your postings.

I'm new to the Tundra and this site, but I've been in Texas a while!
I look forward to maybe meeting some other Tundra owners in the Austin area.
I like the mods found here (or at least linked from this site). I didn't think about not having a Chilton's type manual for the Tundra, so it's cool to have a decent site dedicated to it.
I've done the power outlet mod, that was way simple.
I've also installed my own CD/MP3 player, a bug grill and a Roll N Lock bed cover.
I've just finished my break-in period and am at about 1200 miles.
Am planning a road trip for the first two weeks of September to drive up to Colorado and see the Rockies and do some camping.
It's fun to look forward to road trips instead of looking for reasons not to drive. I'm glad I'm rid of that Chevy.
