Question

North Padre - Anyone been camping there since Katrina?

We were thinking about heading down to North Padre in April, driving down Island and camping out there for a weekend. I've heard that parts of North Padre act as a trash can for debris in the Gulf, with all kinds of stuff getting washed up. Has anyone been there recently?

Any tips on oddball items to bring?

Good beach great fishing I live in port aranas and drive to north padre for surfing/fishing.

Port A to North Padre Down to mansfeild (BigShell) is all pretty much the same area within 40 miles or so.
