Has any one heard from the Buzzard since that storm came througth last week? I wonder if that storm blew away his computer. We might have to sent out a search party.
In reguards to Hurricane Isidore . If that storm heads toward Houston You better put everything up on blocks and head out of town early. I bet Tropical Storm Faye will be a baby compaired to Isidore.
----------Im here---It was close, more water than I have ever seen out here in 23 + years. Another 2" or so I would have had it in the house. I had several neighbors that had water. --If it had rained another 30 minutes I think it would have come in. Had about an inch in the garage. We had 10+ in less than 6 hours. ( the last time I checked and poured out the gage about midnight it was running over, so dont know how much we got. We dont need a Hurricane. I already have the blocks cut --Thanks for checking. ILL NOT STAY FOR ISIDORE if it comes in here. They use to ask us, at the plant, where we would go if we left for a hurricane --I would tell them NORTH -----Buzzard
Here I be------------spent all day yesterday cutting plywood for the windows. Looks like I done it for nothing---I hope I hope --That things going right over my cajun kinfolk again. If it hits New Iberia --Houmas gonna get the dirty side. Talked to my uncle this afternoon and he said " I ain't goinin no where sha, ain't nuttin to dem tings". Hes never been flooded out. We going to be under a tropical storm warning . I was suppose to play in a golf tournament tomorrow. I thought they would reschedule but nooooooooooooo. Gonna be hitting drives into 40 mph wind . Im gonna go out there but Ill bet we dont play. stay dry------Buzzard
Looks like we dodged a bullet. BEAUTIFUL day. Looks like we gonna play golf after all. The storm was down graded to a cat 2. It went in the same area that Andrew went in in 1992. (I think it was 92). My aunts house had MAJOR damage in Andrew. I had talked to her a couple of days before the storm came in and she told me SHE WAS GOING TO STAY. She lived by herself. I had to threaten to go get her to make her leave. Lili is still a strong storm but not like they expected. Im gonna go eat some bbq and loose a few balls. stay dry ---Buzzard
I am off work! They latched down the plant with the hurricane watch. They thought it was better to be safe than sorry. Now that Kathy's laptop is back, got to catch up on reading.....
Dan
BTW...blue skies and no bad winds here in Houston. Once again, we were lucky!
