This is a discussion thread titled "Houston Tundra meet at Tejas Toyota", within the Texas forum, part of the News and Events category.
Tejas Toyota has once again offered to host a Tundra meet. The meet is set for February 17 at 12:00 noon. This is the week end after the new Tundra launch. Tejas said they will have the new Tundra available for test driving and examination of the truck. There will be food and drinks provided by Tejas.
Tejas Toyota has hosted many successful meets in the past, so lets make this another one. Hope to see eveyone there!

Can't wait to show it off a bit, at least to someone other than my wife and daughter.
Although I won't be in the market for a new truck for another 6 years, I want to climb around in an 07' just to gauge the relative size versus my 05'.
Also, the wife can get another Rav in just two years, so I'm tryin to steer her into a V-6 Sport Rav4. 268 horses in that little car would be way too fun.

I see this thing is kicking off at noon. What time is everyone planning on showing up and how long you plan on staying?
I should be there around 12:00 PM. If the weather is nice, I'll stick around for a few hours. If the weather is bad, well, what time are the giveaways?

I got this from Fred Haas Toyota for the same day. It's Time for the Tundra Tailgate Party
Didn't say anything about test drives though...I'd rather go to Tejas anyway.
Yeah, not a great turnout this time...I don't think it was publicized enough. I showed up, and I think there were like 3 others there. I got to drive the new 5.7 Double Cab and it was great. Smooth, quiet, FAST. I was doin' 80 and it felt like 55 or 60. Interior is not as cheap as I initially assumed. Its nice. When I got back from the test drive though, everyone was gone. Maybe we'll have another one for the launch of the CrewMax.
