Cool Coming Next Week.... TRD Exhaust System

Well next week both mine and HOTundra's trucks will have a bit more of a rumble. Kat got both of them ordered through Carson Toyota shipped to the door for $1220.00 total price. (Yep she got it for our anniversary for me)

There was something that did kinda throw me, but not really too worried about it. The TRD exhaust has a warrany of only 1 year, where the competitor's are warranted by a lifetime.

Just thought I'd throw that out for food for thought for those at our last meet that were considering upgrading their exhaust systems.

Dan,
Do you run at the dragstrip with your truck? Or have a heavy trailer to tow up a steep hill?

I'd like to know the before and after 0-60' times with the old and new exhausts, or how the truck pulls a heavy load. Or, how about just a seat of the pants impression of the low rpm pull with the new exhaust.

Dan do you need an adopted son? I'm available for a TRD exhaust system.

Make sure to let us know how the install goes and how you like them. Can't wait to hear them.

Hey Dan!!
Congratulations to you and Christine on getting the new TRD exhaust (THANKS FOR THE RUMBLE, KAT!!) for your Tundras.
The TRD's got a nice exhaust note and badazz lookin' tailpipes with the TRD engraved tips.
I saw the install pics awhile back that different owners posted. Looks like a breeze to install.
Now we've got TRD, Borla, Flowmaster, Custom....so let's see who'll be next and who'll get Bassani's.
Looking forward to seeing your TRD's.....post pics, if possible.

Yep EZ I would of liked to have heard the Bassani's, but Kat just got on the phone and placed the ordered. I was still somewhat curious why the TRD exhaust only carried a year warranty. Oh well...

I use to take my Ford F150 with a 460 engine out and do a little street racing years ago. I will try to clock the before and after perfomance. Besides, my daughter and I have a bet on the side. She jumped me on the start and swears her '02 Tundra is quicker.

It sounds like you are having a hard time facing the reality of that showdown. It was very obvious that the 2002 is much quicker and stronger than the 2001. Let me know when you are ready for the second RUN!

hahahahahaha!

Here's an idea: If you guys race enough to know just how even your trucks are, then put the TRD's on just one of them and try it a couple of times. KLS and I would really be interested to know the outcome. Rather than dyno numbers and variables, this might give a real world difference between stock and duals, if there is one. Would you be willing to try it?

Dude

We can try that Dude Boy...depending if we don't get too involved with our installation and time, as it is getting pretty cool here in Houston in the evening.

Dan,

Are you gonna do the install? The TRD looks pretty easy, according to pics and posts from others who've installed. The weather in Houston should be beautiful for install and a "race" afterward.......

ENJOY!!!
