Default Austin meet a success!

Which will hopefully be the first of many meets went very well. Had some great BBQ and got to talk trucks. Thanks Possum, SATundra for all the encouragement and help!

We've planned another for January. Date coming soon.

Thanks all!

Only additions: Waterproof seat covers, Westin nerf bars, Colgan sport bra

REMOVED: Formfit hood deflector. Loved the look but a clip went missing. Can't find one for sale without the $45 hardware kit!

Mods: 12V outlet relay "fix" to have power when ignition switch is off.

Gripes: Weak leaf springs that Toyota doesn't want to warranty, paper-thin paint, interference design motor, crappy rear mud guards that cost $78 each (local dealer wanted $100) and only last 25k miles. Front mudguards built differently! (better)

Still the best truck I've owned to date.

Glad to see it went great. Unfortunately I was not able to make this one but hopefully I'll be able to make your next ones. How many people showed up? I bet the food was great...I haven't been to Rudy's in far too long.

Default Rudy's

We ended up with 4. Rudy's was great. Oh, and Hover, thanks for the encouragement too!

We'll get the date for January before this month is over.

Thanks!

Cool Good first meet...

Was a great couple of hours of BSing.

I'm pretty jealous of Paul's ride! A sunroof and DVD player, wow! I thought I was badass for having an MP3 player!

We're agreed that we should meet every two months or so... That will put us to mid to late January. We're letting Turbohawk look at his schedule to see the best day. Saturday or Sunday didn't seem to matter to anyone.

Anyone have preferences for location for the next meet? Rudy's again? I've got not problems with BBQ again!

NOTATION: This photo has been added to the Rudy's BBQ Meet in the Photo Gallery. --- Possum

Lunch was fun. I wish the Texas game had turned out as well...

Its funny to discover how small a world it is... Three of us worked at Dell at some point (who in Austin doesn't) and TurboHawk knew both my cousin and old roommate through his job.

Carl is right; Paul's ride is sweet.

If everything works out right I will have a super charger by the time we have the next meeting!

Thanks to Carl & Turbohawk for uploading the pictures so quick.

Later,
Speed

Talking

Thanks Speed & --(razy (arl!

It was really great to finally meet you guys.

Dave aka TurboHawk and I have been talking about going mountain biking somewhere soon. Nothing krazy like CityPark, but somewhere tame.

If you’re interested let's keep in touch.
