Re: Drury Hotel in San Antonio Texas (For the LSB)
Just a note to let you guys/gals know you made an outstanding choice in lodging.
Not only is Pappadeaux and other great restaurants within a couple of miles from the Drury.....but the popular North Star Mall is less than 2 mi. away on Loop 410 right across the freeway from y'all. Plus...you have easy access to the street (Jones-Maltsberger) that takes you directly to the freeway (281) that will take you downtown (5-10 min.) and Mission County Park (20-30 min.).....Don't mind the freeway construction..it's no big deal....as the worst is past....again...OUTSTANDING CHOICE AND LOCATION!!!
Re: Drury Hotel in San Antonio Texas (For the LSB)
FYI - the Drury to me is just one of the many places I drive by every day and don't pay much attention to. So tonight I went by there with the intent of checking the place out. It looks VERY NICE. The hotel is fairly large. Everything looks like it was very well kept, including the pool area. The parking is covered for the most part.
I am gonna go by there tomorrow and take some pictures and will get (Mike, hopefully) to post them on his site with a link from here for everybody to check out.
Dan said he had talked to the lady there at the Drury Inn and was able to get a block of rooms temporarily reserved for us, but that we needed to let them know as soon as we could an approximate number of rooms that we will be looking at reserving for sure. The price is EXCELLENT for the hotel. Personally I have stayed at quit a few places for MUCH more money that were not nearly as NICE. $59 is a FANTASTIC deal.
BTW if you want to check out the place remember to go to the first post here, Dan has a link to the hotel site posted. Go look. Please if you are fairly certain your coming just put a post in here so we can keep the rooms reserved. If you have any particular questions also feel free to PM Dan or myself and we will get an answer for you.

Re: Drury Hotel in San Antonio Texas (For the LSB)
HEADS UP GANG!
I have blocked 10 Rooms at
The Drury Inn Hotel
95 N.E. Loop 410
San Antonio, Texas 78216
P: 210-308-8100 (please call this number direct)
with a locked in price of $59.00 a night on May 18th and 19th.
I will be signing a contract that will be faxed to me Monday. To get these locked in rates it is listed under "TEXAS TUNDRAS".
So for those that are wanting to reserve a room at this rate it will be effective as of Tuesday March 5th. I will have a closing contract date when I receive the papers I need to sign and will post that date.
Looking at various locations, these rates are extremely good as rates will go up prior to Memorial Day.
Please post if you intend to make a reservation so if needed I can add more rooms.
Re: Drury Hotel in San Antonio Texas (For the LSB)
Sally I believe you can get those rates extended when I send back the contact to Melody on Tuesday.
All you'll have to tell them is that it is for the "Texas Tundras" and she said she would honor that rate. If you prefer something larger they will honor a rate that will be a little higher as well.
So let me sign that contract Monday then you'd call this number direct 210-308-8100 Tuesday and say it was for the Texas Tundras.
Location;
The Drury Inn Hotel
95 N.E. Loop 410
San Antonio, Texas 78216
Then you'll be all set.
Buzzard I will need you to contact them as well after I sign the contract to lock in these rates of $59.00 a night. I think you may have reserved a room at the wrong hotel.

I know Dan said they ALREADY had a block of rooms (10) set aside under "TEXAS TUNDRAS". So if you call them be SURE to mention that its for "TT". Would imagine the $59 is set, but don't know for sure.
BTW he is increasing the number rooms to 15 from 10 in case we keep getting more people.
Dan should be here later.
