Default Re: Michelin LTX M/S or Bridgestone Dueler Revo's?

I've had LTX M/S on my Yukon and they did really well in the ice out here in Idaho, but lacked a bit in really heavy snow and off road. I have Bridgestone Revo's on my wifes Sequioa and it tears it up here in the winter time...They also handle excellently anywhere I have taken them...Most of the time I don't even have to engage the 4WD...The only downside is that they make more noise once you rev them over the 70mph range...But that's typical of an off-road tire. If you live where it snows, stick with the Revo's. If not, go with the marshmellow man tires..My 2cents....

Exactly and I am pretty sure that my offroad and your offroad are just a little different (Alaska vs New Mexico, Alaska vs San Antonio). One tire is significantly more aggressive than the other and it shows when its needed. I drive a lot of rough gravel highways (sometimes at 70 mph) so that super quiet highway tire is the last thing on my priority list. Cant do mud tires either as they dont provide any traction on black ice (which we get just a little bit of up here...grin), the Revo has shined for me on several vehicles and I will stay with it as a result. I am pretty sure that my usage of tires is night and day form most of yours so my needs are night and day as well.

I am sure they are. If I lived where you did, I would likely use an extreme offroad-rated tire during much of the year.

But I'm here, not there.

OK guys, I sort of have the same question. I've just handed my 2000 Tundra Access Cab 2wd down to my 16 year old son. It's definitely time for new tires and I was going to go with what I've always had the Michelin LTX/MS 265/70R16. He wants me to get the Bridgestone Dueller Revo's in 265/75R16. Any suggestions and are there any advantages or disadvantages to the different size?

No experience with Revos but I do have LTX M/S tires on my Tundra. I don't do any offroading, just bumper-to-bumper and highway driving and ocassional towing a 2-axle open trailer with 2000-ish lb car on it. They're good tires,no complaints.

I've personally mounted and balanced hundreds of them and can't recall any balance/vibration issues. I'll be picking up a new set of wheels for spring/summer use and just ordered a set from Costco. They have a special going on through today,$60 off a set of 4,which comes out less than my cost through work (a dealership).

I'm replacing the Bridgestones on my 2001 Tundra after 66K. Looking at the Fortera Triple Tred but the price is a worry. Anyone shelled out the bucks for those? The Duelers were great tires but they did cup late in their life and were a bit noisy. Still hard to complain about how many miles they lasted.
