wheel adapters installed, how much plastic did you have to cut?
I installed the Goeske adapters to avoid rubbing so hard on the UCAs and the frame. That problem is gone now.
BUT, now I have a much louder rub, plastic and rubber. A real head turner.
The inner fender well of the bumper and the mudguard. I trimmed a lot of the plastic of the front fender, it doesn't rub on the small turns now. But it will rub I am certain, when I hit an incline while turned. If you installed an adapter as I did, how much did you trm/shave/grind away? Is it still visibly pleasing or does it look like you took a sawzall to it?
My truck is still in good shape, so I don't want to mangle it like my old '87 p'up. But I do want functional equipment. And rubbin one out on a U-turn, well, it sux. I've read about pinch weld mods, but I don't own or have the knowledge to use that equipment. I do have a nice pair of sheet metal shears that work great on thin to moderately thick plastic.
Recap. At the moment, the trimming is unseen from the side. The tires don't rub on the bumper wheel wells now, but it could still use some shaving. Suggestions on how much more to shave?
Thanks,
Andy

Ok, so check out the pictures. I trimmed the plastic Fender Front (FF Left or FF Right). Both are about as even as I could tell by taking a picture and then doing the same thing on the other side.
The most odd thing is that the LEFT side has less room from the Front Fender to the tire than the RIGHT. You can see in the pics that it is about 1 finger, roughly 2cm.
The space from tire to Fender Rear on each well is the same, about 3 fingers. (nice measuring tool eh?
Is this some kind of caster problem?
or,
am I overreacting and should just trim some more plastic?

All a man really needs for happiness in this world is a good woman, a faithful dog, and a big-a$$ed set of tires on his truck.

you don't hit the back of the well on the mudflap either?
I've got those large stock fender flares. They are really in the way of business.

Re: wheel adapters installed, how much plastic did you have to cut?
sometimes I hate being the only one.
Check out the pic, the mudflap rub. It's not a problem that will hurt anything, and the hard plastic has already started to burn away, so I might just leave it.
the mudflap rub: a gentle massage of one's mullet or a tire grazing the surface of a mud guard.

Don't know what to tell you, except mine is about an inch higher.
