Default Chevy rims on a Tundra

I found a guy on E-bay who is selling 6 bolt rims, he says they will fit a variety of GM products or a Tundra.

Is that correct?

Will GM rims fit a Tundra?

No. GM center bore diameter is smaller than the Toyota.

I saw a Chevy Silverado here in the CA Bay Area with the Ivan Stewart 16" wheels. I had to follow it to make sure I wasn't seeing things. But in fact they looked the same as the ones on my Tundra. I wish I had my camera that day. I don't think they were the Niche Throttles either.

That would look kind of dumb with the TRD center caps!

well they will fit, if they have the large center bore (108mm i believe). The 18's I have were said to fit GM 6 and the tundra, only because they have the large bore, and would still fit on a GM. You cant take wheels made only for GM and put em on the tundra because, as stated, the bore will be too small

Don't forget that the Toyota wheels are hub-centric. You can't just slap on a 6 lug rim because it will fit and expect it to run true.

there are aftermarket hub centric rings out there that compensate for this tho

They didnt have the center caps, that's why I had to catch up to it. It had the two piece look with the fake bolts around the wheel, shiny lip with powder-coated spokes. I saw it in traffic near the Dublin, Livermore, CA area. That's where traffic slows to a crawl and all you have time to do is check out people's rides.

ask him for the centerbore spec. Tundra's have a centerbore of 4.17" or 106mm.
