I've run LTM M/S on my last four 4WDs. They're great tires. It's sad not to see Michelin making them for 18s now. They need to offer taller tire sizes too. I'm going to look for 285/75/18s when I need new tires, so (unfortanately) bye-bye Michelin. After 20 years with them, I'll be sad to leave.
One of the reasons I upgraded to 20" rims was to run the LTX M/S

GL finding anything in that size seems after looking on numerous sites they all say no tire made that size? The AT2's are loud if ya do not air them up a tad but that equals better mielage with out doing damadge to tires! at 29 they were loud but at 36 they are quiet! Sams Club put 29 in them and i told him 36 all 4, hope his gauge is not that far off cause i use a quality 20 buck gauge and i have 2 of them and they are from VIAR and they read same pressures?
any updates on the LTX AT2, im seriously considering them, due to michelins wearing better etc... any complaints? tire rack seems to have good reviews. and the 275/70/R18 is a 33.1 inch tire.

I have used mine a tad more now and they have done fine for me. at least you will not get stuck on wet grass like the duelers! but they are a HT anyway!
I like them a lot and have 2 sets and no issues to speak of. but i would road force balance them at installation! I had one bad one but they replaced no questions asked due to worksheet from Hunter Machine!
I've been running them for a month now on my Tundra. (275/65R18s) Handles very well running 50 psi all around. They improved the towing handling immensely pulling 7000 lbs of trailer. I'll be curious to see how they do in the snow. I'm sure I'll get to find out this buck season in the mountains upstate.
Anybody want a set of lightly used Michelin A/Ss in the same size?

FYI.........Costco (if you have one close by) currently has $80 off a set of 4 Michelin Truck/SUV tires and they carry the LTX AT2 in 275/65/18.
I priced a set last night right at $950 w/tax & installation after the $80 credit.
I really dislike the stock BFG's but I only have 12K miles on them....hard to pony up nearly a grand for tires I really don't "need"....especially in this economy.
However, after looking around at the online tire sellers, there is probably no better deal out there than Costco right now.......decisions, decisions....
Stock tires don't seem to cut it in the snow. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with these new Michelin tires in snow.
I just bought a set last night. The LTX AT2's. I live in West Michigan and there's plenty of the white stuff on the roads right now. So far so good, but I've only driven 10 miles on them. I'll be doing lot's of driving this weekend so I'd be happy to keep you posted. I've read a lot of good reviews and a few bad ones on the tire, but Discount Tire Co. has a 30 day policey if i don't like them I can trade from something else. I figured why not...

Well I've had the new LTX AT2's for a few days now. We've had about 12 inches of snow over the weekend and I've also had an opportunity to ride on some dry highways as well. I have nothing but good things to say about these tires. They are excellent in the snow, and great going down the highway at any speed. And surprizingly enough, they are really really quiet. I can't even hear them. If anything, they are quieter than the stock Rugged Trails I had on my Tundra. I haven't had a chance to do any "off road driving" so the jury is still out on that, but from what I've experience this far I really like them. The only tires I can compare them with are the stock rugged trails ( which are junk), and many sets of BFG All Terrains on my 4Runner and other vehicle in the past. Don't get me wrong, I love the BFG AT KO's, and I would have to say that the BFG's are probably a little better off road than the LTX's(probably), but for what I need these tires for (daily driver, highway, rain, snow, little offroad, towing) the LTX's are a much better choice for me. The biggest complaint with the BFG's was the noise going down the road. That, and the cost. Other than that the BFG's are a great all around tire. But Noise is a big thing for a lot of people when all you do is drive on paved roads.
So if you are looking for an aggressive tire that is good looking, will last a long time, will take you almost anywhere, is quiet, and cost's about $100+ less than a BFG AT, I would highly recommend the Michelin LTX AT-2.
Keep in mind that this is just my initial impression after only owning these tires for about a week. We've got a ton of weather changes here in West Michigan, so that one week has been a good test for them. So far so good. I'm very happy with my choice. If anything comes up and changes my opinion of them I'll be sure to keep you posted...

What tire pressures are you currently running?
If you do any tire pressure experimentation with the LTX AT2's I would like to hear your general consensus!

I am currently running the Toyota recommended pressure of 29 front and 30 back I think it is. Now I just went through a drive through Oil Change place today and I noticed they messed with my pressure. So if they changed it at all I'll bet it's no more than 33 front and back. I check the pressure tonight and get back with you. Supposed to get an ice storm tonight so that'll be interesting...
sr522re: Could you tell us if you are running the LT ( E load rating ) or P tires?
It's P265/70/16 which is the exact size and rating that my truck came stock with. For me, this is all I need. I mainly just drive my truck. Not much towing or hauling.
