Default I Need Help

Aloha All,

I am kind of new to the modding thing so I could use some help. I was wondering if M/T CLASSIC II 16X8 6-5.5 would fit on 265/70/16 tires. I'm not sure so I was hoping that someone could give me some advice on this. Mahalo!!!!!

Hello and welcome to TS.

Yes the 265/70's will fit fine on the 16x8s.

About the only thing I would be cautious of is the wheel's backspacing or offset. The stock wheels have a backspacing of ~4.5" and an offset of ~0mm.

The backspacing and offset are two different ways of stating how far the wheel's hub (the flat surface that sits next your rotor and drum) is from the back of the wheel (backspacing in inches) and from the wheels centerline of the wheel (offset usually in mm and either + or -).

The M/Ts are available with several different backspacing/offset numbers. If you plan to leave the truck stock, I would stay with a backspacing close to the factory number. That will give you one more inch of wheel and tire toward the outside of the truck and it will help fill up the wheel well.

I went with a similar wheel with a 3-5/8" backspacing and wearing 265/75s, and I had some rubbing on the bumper valance (black trim) before I lifted my truck a couple of inches.

Hope that helps,
T
